Name:[]

Audrey Finn

Age:[]

17

Personality[]

Despite being nearly blind from birth, Audrey is hardly discouraged, with a positive, (sometimes overly) optimist attitude. She does, sometimes, get upset when her vision frustratingly gets in the way of something she is determined to do, though normally she tries to just make light of the situation. Her german shepherd guide dog, Kasey, normally helps here in fights– not only trained like a normal guide dog but also an attack dog. This helps Audrey to bring out her rebellious spirit.

History[]

Greg Finn had, since he was just out of college, been a model in commercials, which had made him enough money considering he always looked fresh and young even in his late thirties. But Greg knew that wouldn't last. He and couple friends went out of to bar as sort of a going away party with a couple female models whom he'd never met. Though, something was odd: Greg could have sworn only 4 came in the limo, but now there were five beautiful young woman hanging around them in the pub. One of them, peticularly youthful, was dressed in ivory silk emboirdered with ivy. She was drinking a thick golden drink that Greg couldn't identify. He shrugged the thought off, figuring it must be a forgein drink. They began to talk, and Greg learned her name: Elizabeth (or so she told him then). He led her back to his appartment and the next 4 months was history... until little baby Audrey came along. Greg, perhaps clouded by mist, didn't see this short pregnancy as an unusual thing. Elizebeth, as a couple months after the baby girl was born, explained she landed a job in Europe and couldn't bring the baby. Greg agreed to take care of her– later naming her Audrey– and naively expected Elizebeth to come back to visit, but years went by, each more and more hopeless of her return. Elizebeth did, however, leave a long note to Greg 4 years later, explaining about her real idenitiy as Hebe, goddess of youth, and what to do with Audrey. Shortly after opening the note, Greg felt a little more youthful, a little more chipper. He had no choice but to believe her– after all, she wouldn't leave him because she didn't love him, right? Greg, still heart broken, kept the letter secret and refused to tell a soul– even Audrey, so that his baby girl could stay safe. He soon found a new job as a salesman for luxary cars, which paid more than Greg let on.

Audrey Finn, at the young age of 3, had never in her memories been able to see well. Life to her was mostly faint sillouettes and light in a world of darkeness. Greg had taken her to an eyedoctor, Dr. Logan, and Dr. Logan explained to him that her iris couldn't filter light and dark properly, and from then on, Audrey was legally blind. If her severely light blue eyes and tiny pupils didn't give away her state of vision, the german shepherd guide dog she got at the age of 9 did. By then, Audrey Finn learned braille and could read quickly. Little did Audrey know that Kasey, her guide dog, had also been trained as an attack dog. Greg would only tell her that years later. Kasey was a very tame and mostly friendly dog, which earned Audrey some good friends, but she still felt constantly different from the other children. After learning braille, determained Audrey found that she loved to read, or walk with Kasey in the park and listen to sounds. Audrey's childhood was simple and uneventful, just the way she liked it. Occasionally she would get picked on, but her friends would soon find out and stand up for her. That was until she was 13.

Kasey and Audrey had taken a saturday morning walk, and for once, alone they explored a feild a little farther away from the town park she was used to. It was rare that there'd been a horse roaming around, unless it escaped from an unsually close farm. Kasey started barking and pulling on her leash, and Audrey attempted to calm her down from whatever she was growling at, she lost her grip and Kasey, and inner attack dog coming out, Kasey began to fight the horse, narrowingly missing it's hoof of fire. Audrey, once she got her bearings, could faintly see the outline of the fire-breathing horse. The horse began to get annoyed with Kasey, it's red eyes ripping away from Audrey and onto Kasey. Audrey ran wherever her legs would take her, and Kasey followed, the horse hot on their tracks (no pun intented). Kasey helped Audrey dodge the fire, and the horse seemed to have trouble concertrating as they ducked into the forest and onto uneven ground. The fiery horse stumbled but stayed determained to kill Audrey. Finally, a jagged rock hidden a pile of crisp leaves stabbed the horse's foot, and the horse whinnied, fawning over it's wound, and giving the out-of-breath demigod and dog ample time to run back to their house. A patch of fur on Kasey's ear as been singed off, and both of them were sprinkled with cuts.

Greg tended to their minor laserations, acting weirdly and refusing to take them to the doctor and vet for some reason. Audrey screamed and cried at her father, telling him about the monster, and he stayed quiet, knowing what had happened. He had to tell Audrey what was in the letter, but since she was legally blind, Audrey did not notice Greg leaving out the part about camp half blood.

Audrey knew that she always looked younger than she really was, but soon she learned that she could use that youth to be stronger, which she needed as was attacked four more times until she was 17, using a dog leash that appeared on Kasey which turned into a celestial bronze spiked whip. Greg and Audrey, somewhere in the back of theirs minds, knew Hebe sent the weapon. They didn't know, however, that Hebe knew of Greg's hesitation to explain camp half blood to Audrey and wanted to help her at least a little get through the attacks. Greg, not being able to see through the mist, wasn't of much help to Audrey, but Audrey learned with quickly Kasey how to fight, or at least flee, by mostly remebering the tactics she used to defeat the monsters in years past. She did start training more after the second attack, mostly going to the gym using her whip misted as her using the ropes provided. Audrey also practiced identifying shadows as best as she could, being sometimes she forgot that her vision could actually help her. Yet often, Kasey was a good distraction to either plot moves, cover her weak spots, or flee. After the fourth attack many months after Audrey's 17 birthday in March, Greg confessed about camp half blood, and Audrey found it difficult to quell her anger. But finally, in late August, Audrey Finn and Kasey arrived at camp half blood.
