Character's Powers

 3/6/9 month powers unlocked

Offensive[]

  1. Since their father was considered to be one of the most ugly gods in existence, they can supernaturally highlight their ugliest physical features causing anyone looking at them at the time to be temporarily blinded. The longer they highlight these features, the more energy is drained.
  2. Children of Charon have the ability to summon a shade from the Underworld, which will instantly begin wailing and stun anyone who is not intangible for a short time before vanishing.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Charon can cause a person to feel/be lost, as if they don’t know how to reach their desired destination and wander off aimlessly which may induce distress, confusion and loss of concentration, for a short time. The effect can be used on a larger number of people, but drains more energy.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Charon are able to communicate with and command the dead, and can sense nearby spirits and other undead beings.
  2. Children of Charon can sense when a mortal, half-blood, nymph/spirit that they know has died through a "buzzing" in their ears.
  3. Children of Charon have innate knowledge of the Underworld and enter and exit as they please, as it is where their father is stationed.
  4. Children of Charon have the ability to see perfectly in the dark.
  5. As Charon is an Underworld god, children of Charon can enter and exit the Underworld as they please. They can also enter and exit Tartarus as they please instantly rather than the usual time it takes to get in and out of there for other people, which are nine days and nights.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Charon have the ability to Shadow Travel, to teleport from shadow to shadow; the further the distance, the more energy drained.
  2. Children of Charon can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time.
  3. Children of Charon can establish a set boundary. When someone steps over this boundary, the user is alerted. Anyone crossing the boundary isn’t prohibited from doing so, and the longer the boundary is held, the more power is drained.
  4. Children of charon can telekenetically move coins with their mind.

3 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Charon can mediate contracts or oaths between two people or parties, by enchanting a coin and keeping it in their pocket. The oath is somewhat like the oath on the Styx, however it can with great difficulty be subverted or broken. If the oath is broken, the child of Charon is alerted by a burning sensation created by the coin.

6 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Charon can cause someone to hallucinate that they are drowning in the River Styx, causing them to feel lost, confused, and extremely panicked for a moderate period of time. However, the illusion isn't physical and therefore is only a trick of sight. The bigger the change in perception, the more power drained.

9 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. In rare cases, children of Charon have the ability to conjure the water one of the Five Rivers of the Underworld (Phlegethon, Lethe, Styx, etc.), no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, which if it hits someone, will have the river's effect. (Phlegethon will burn, Lethe will cause amnesia, Styx will cause hatred and agression towards self or others, Acheron will cause pain, and Cocytus will cause intense depression and emit screaming sounds)

Traits[]

  1. Children of Charon often feel comfortable in boats, water, and the dark.
  2. Children of Charon are natural navigators and often become ferrymen/sailors/etc.

If they attempt to attack anyone while still intangible they will automatically become visible and tangible. RP-The Road[]

Elizabeth: It was a hot sunny day, and Elizabeth was walking down the street in a black T-shirt and black jeans, on her way to the pizzeria. She had offered to buy pizza with the little money she had scavenged during her time so far on earth in hope of making a few friends at the Broken Covenant, where she was now staying. She wasn't fully used to it, Earth that is. She saw a dead squirrel on the side of the road, and was taken aback by it. She felt sorry for the animal, which she assumed had gotten run over by a car. She picked up the squirrel and started to dig a grave for the creature with her hands.

Dmitri: It was just another day for the son of Thanatos and he was just making his way over to the nearby town. As he walked down the road, which happened to be the same one as Elizabeth, he noticed her knealing down over something. "Hey are you ok?" Dmitri asked as he neared her.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth looked up at the tall boy standing over her. "Yes, I am just fine, thank you. This squirrel seems to have been hit by a car however. It is not as fine as I.  I believe a violent death, no matter how quick, is the worst way to die. But unfortunately, that is what it comes down to for many mortal beings. The least I could do was give it a proper burial." Elizabeth continued digging.

Dmitri: Dmitri gave a soft smile as he kneeled next to the girl and began helping her to dig. Being a son of the god of death he had the same belief as her. "Im Dmitri and you are?" He asked, taking a quick look at the girls face and then back to the ground.

Elizabeth: "Elizabeth." She continued digging. "I am supposed to be picking up a pizza, but this take presedence over food. Death only commences once for every being, and they deserve to have a good one." She thought of her father, and wondered if he transported animal souls to the underworld as well. She had never thought to ask anyone that while she was on Olympus. "I wonder where it's soul is now," Elizabeth pondered, acting as if she didn't know and was a normal mortal, oblivious to Dmitri's godly parentage.

Dmitri: "Maybe he's somewhere else running in a field of Acorns.." Dmitri answered, He to wasn't sure where animal went after death. Were they just like Mortals or Demigods who desended down into the underworld? After what seemed like minutes of thinking, but was really only a few seconds, Dmitri came back to reality and looked down to the hole the two were able to dig up. "I think thats a deep enough hole." He said looking up to the girl with a small smile.

Elizabeth: "I think so too." Elizabeth stopped digging, placed the squirrel in the hole, and reached into her pocket. "I wonder if they go to the same place humans do," Elizabeth said. "If they do, according to my culture, he'll need this." Elizabeth took an obolos coin out of her pocket and placed it in the mouth of the squirrel, under its tongue. "Take good care of him dad," she muttered under her breath.

Dmitri: As soon as he spotted the coin he knew what it was. Maybe this girl wasn't a normal human like Dmitri had though? Of course he wasn't just gonna blurt out the question so he stay cool for the time being. "if im correct, you belive in souls going into the underworld after death?" He asked.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth looked at him suspiciously. "Yes, I do. And if I am correct, so do you. This may only be my eleventh encounter with your kind, I know that the number of people who know what an obolos coin is, is extremely small. This is far too coincidental." Elizabeth decided to go with her gut and be upfront. "So tell me, who are you the son of?"

Dmitri: A small smirk formed on his lips as he spoke in a soft voice. "Thanatos, the god of death." He answered. With the word she spoke before, Dmitri could mostl likely guess who her parent is. "Your a daughter of Charon right? The god that takes souls across the river styx into the underworld?" Although Dmitri was sure he was right he was a bit nervous that he may also be wrong.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth smiled at the boy. "That's me, the one and only daughter of Charon." Elizabeth noticed that the boy looked a bit nervous. "Something wrong? You look anxious. Why?" Before she gave Dmitri a chance to respond, she answered her own question with an assumption. "You're not a member of the Broken Covenent, are you? They warned me about you people, how you hold steadfast to your blind faith in the godly oligarchy. But don't worry. I won't kill you. Not without a good reason." She smiled at the boy and resumed her work to covering the squirrel's grave.

Dmitri: "Huh? oh!" He shook his head softly as he heard her words. "I wasn't really nervous about that." He let out a soft laugh. "I was really only nervous that i would get your godly parent wrong but, it's nice to know you wont kill me." he smiled as he looked to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth nodded her head. "No, you were right. But you are from Camp Half Blood, are you not? I'm most likely not supposed to be talking to you. I just joined the Broken Covenent a few days ago, so I doubt that they can demote me any further, considering I'm already at the bottom of their hierarchy." Elizabeth paused for a second, before saying something else. "And I never said I wouldn't kill you. I said I would only kill you if you gave  me a good reason to. But as a Thanatos child, I doubt you would cower from death."

Dmitri: "Yes im from camp." He admitted. "But i hardly care for the feud between camp and the BC so as long as we can both agree to not kill eachother i think we will be fine." Dmitri added. It wasn't like him to be so friendly with other people, usually he'd just ignore them and keep moving but Elizabeth peaked his intrest. How could there be a daughter of Charon? After a few moments of silence he continued speaking "We all have to die sometime..... Hell ive already died and it wasn't that painful so, yea your right about me not being affraid of death." With that he stood up and dusted off the dirt that had managed to cling to his jeans.

Elizabeth: "I don't make promises unless I know I can keep them. All I can agree to is not to harm you unless you give me a good reason." Elizabeth said this almost in a somber tone, but when Elizabeth then heard that Dmitri had died in the past, she perked up a bit. "You have died? Have you met my father?" Elizabeth had always wanted to meet her father, but it seemed nobody had, not even some of the Gods, as he was always in the Underworld serving Hades. She had always wanted to know what he was like, but she had never met anyone (other than a few gods) who had encountered him and lived to tell about it. Elizabeth stood up, to make sure that the child of Thanatos wasn't leaving, at least not yet.

Dmitri: He let out a small chuckle, sounding just the slightest bit nervous. He knew they would most likely not have to fight but it still unnerved him. Once here her ask about her father Dmitri settled and gave a soft smile along with a nod. "Yea i did meet him actually." He said with a short pause before continuing. "You see, to come back to life my father basically had to beg Hades to bring me back. Hades finally agreed but i had to stay and work for him down in the under world." Dmitri explain, takeing a short pause to let her proccess the information. "I was down there for about 150 years and in that time i spent some time with Charon, your father."

Elizabeth: "Really? What's he like?" Elizabeth asked. "Is Hades mean to him? I hope not. Does he like his job? Does his appearance match the myths? What about his personality? Is he nice?" Elizabeth had more questions than she could count. She wanted to learn even the slightest thing about her father, but now that she might actually get some information, she was scared at what the response might be. What if he said that he was sadistic or selfish, just like all the other Gods? She wouldn't know what to do with herself. She needed this to go well.

Dmitri: Dmitri gave out a small laugh while rubbing the back of his neck. "You sure have a lot of questions, ill try my best to answer them." After a short pause and trying to think of the answers to all her questions Dmitri finally began to speak. "I hate to say that Hades can be a bit rude to him but, when has Hades never been rude." He said with a mental sorry to hades. "Yes he does like his job although it can be a bit boring at times. and when ever i was around he always had a hooded robe so i never got to actually see him." Dmitri felt a bit guilt that he couldn't answer that question but decided to keep going. "Your father is pretty nice. When we first met he wasn't one to talk but after a few more times we engaged in conversation. Mostly talking bad about Hades." He said this last part with a chuckle.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth gave Dmitri a slight smile. "That's nice. That he like his job, I mean. I wish I could say the same, walking the Earth simply trying not to die. I wish I was doing something of meaning, like I was doing on Olympus." Elizabeth missed the family that she had made for herself on Olympus, especially Ares and Aphrodite. A single tear dripped down her cheek. "Sorry if I'm being so sentimental. Are humans supposed to get like this when something unfortunate happens to them?" Elizabeth was oblivious to how odd her question sounded, but having been raised on Olympus and only recently getting to Earth, she had no idea how people acted on the planet so mysterious to her.

Dmitri: "From my time back in the mortal word ive come to realize that being sentimental isn't something to be sorry about." Dmitri stated, giving the girl a soft smile. "And yes humans do many things when unfortunate events happen to them." He added. Although the question would have been odd for anyone else, Dmitri completely understood it. He to went through the same thing when coming back to the mortal world after 150 years of being in the underworld, so he had a sence of what Elizabeth was going through. "You'll get used to human life." He voiced with a small pause before speaking agian. "I however haven't gotten used to the modern technology. He laughed. "Its very confusing."

Elizabeth: Elizabeth gave Dmitri a shy smile. "Thank you, but I am not so sure. You see, I already was a human. I was raised on Olympus however. So you must understand, when you train with Ares for half of your day every day, you begin to suppress all emotion, especially when vulnerable. I was cast out of Olympus for being a child of Charon by Hera, and here I am." Elizabeth gave a chuckle at Dmitri's modern technology comment. "That it is. Good thing I recently moved into a place without any."

Dmitri: Dmitri forced a small smile as he heard her words. "I guess i understand why you joined the Bc now." He replied with a small pause before speaking again. "The gods can be a bit greedy and ruthless, which is why i dont care for any of them other then my father." He admitted as he glanced around the area. "Maybe we could continue this conversation on the way to the town?"He asked. "Standing on the side of the road doesn't seem like the best idea." A small laugh escaped his lips after his comment.

Elizabeth: "And yet you support the gods being in charge of this universe nonetheless? You are at Camp Half Blood after all. I am not sure I understand." Elizabeth walked into the middle of the road, and sat down in the middle of it. "There. Now I am sitting in the middle of the road instead of standing on the side of it. Happy?" Elizabeth knew she couldn't stay on the side of the road forever, but being in a new environment like the BC was scary to her, and she didn't want to head in the direction of the town, afraid she would see a Broken Covenant member there and be forced to mingle. Plus, she knew she needed to make a good impression for the veteran BC members, and if they saw her with a Camp Half Blood child, she could very well be kicked out. Or so she worried.

Dmitri: Dmitri gave out a soft chuckle as he shook his head. "I dont think it's smart to sit in the middle of the road but if it's what you want..." He said walking over to her side and sitting down next to her. "And yes although ide dislike the gods i still love my father.... Joining the BC would in a way, force me to go against him." He said looking down to his hands as he spoke. "And i really dont wanna go against my father..": He said looking up to Elizabeth with a small smile, hoping he wasn't confusing her even more.

Elizabeth: Now Elizabeth understood. She wished she could have the same optimistic attitude Dmitri had towards the gods, where his love for his father was enough to overpower his hatred for the other gods. "Unlike you, my father, although I love him blindly, has been an absent force in my life. Although I spent centuries living on Olympus, he was in the Underworld, so we have never met. I don't know what to think of him. And until he decides to show himself, all I can do is assume what he is like. And unfortunately, I am one to assume to worst until proven otherwise. But that wasn't always the case. Hera made it so."

Dmitri: "Ive met my father once while he was meeting with Hades but we didn't exchange many words." Dmitri paused as his gaze fell to the hard black road under him. "A simple hello my son was all he was able to say before leaving." Dmitri said begining to play witha few small pubbles that he found. "From my meetings with your father.... he seem like one of the nice gods..." The young boy tried to assure Elizabeth. Once hearing her comment about hera Dmitri gave a sad smile. "Seems like Hera isn't on most peeple goods side." He voiced in an attempt to joke around and lighten the mood.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth laughed. "I lived amongst the gods for centuries. The only god who stuck by my side when the going got rough was Ares. He was willing to wage a war over my leaving, but Hestia and Aphrodite convinced him otherwise. His actions may be harsh and he may not always think things through, but Ares is the only god, the only being, I have ever met that is not entirely selfish. As long as Hera is ruling Olympus, I will attempt again and again to bring her reign to an end. Whatever it takes. I was trained by the god of war for centuries. Hera will fall."

Dmitri: Dmitri wasn't sure how to responde to Elizabeth's. He wasn't sure how serious she was and didn't want to offend her by joking around so instead he stay quiet for some minutes. Apparently his attempt to lightly the mood didn't work which cause Dmitri to mentally chuckle at himself. Finally after a few minutes the son of Thanatos spoke. "Seems like hera should sleep with one eye open then..." He voiced in a joking tone, once again trying to make the girl laugh and lighten the mood. Dmitri could only hope that Elizabeth wouldn't get angry.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth saw a car coming at around 30 miles per hour, the first car to pass through the area since she had moved to the middle of the road. Instead of getting up, Elizabeth thought this would be a good time to demonstrate to the younger Thanatos boy the extent of her powers. Elizabeth took four coins out of her pocket. She manipulated the coins into the air, and as Elizabeth waves her hand, the coins shot forward like bullets from a gun, puncuring the car's tires. The car came to a stop right in front of Elizabeth and Dmitri. The coins then slowly returned to Elizabeth's hand's and she put them back in her pocket. "Hera knows what I am capable of. Trust me. And now, so do you." She gave Dmitri a sly smile, as she walked towards to stopped car.

Dmitri: Dmitri made a soft gulp sound as he witnessed the car stop. Was she really that strong? He difinantly didn't wanna get on her bad side if she was. "That was pretty cool... but you could have done it on a tree or something... not a car with people in it." He said getting up from his spot and following her to the car. He wanted to make sure they people in the car were fine.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth laughed as she approached the car. "What fun is that, silly?" Elizabeth pushed Dmitri in front of the car. "Well, you gonna help that poor old woman with her car or not?" Elizabeth was enjoying intimidating the son of Thanatos. She had only been on Earth for a few weeks, and was ready to show off everything she had learned over the past 400 years.

Dmitri: "Well i doubt the lady has four spare tires....." He grumbled as he walked over to the front window and talked with the panicing lady. After some minutes the lady calmed down and call a toing campany to pick her and her car up. "Next time you deal with your mess...." Dmitri said as he walked past Elizabeth. He had to admit he didnt like the daughter of Charon scaring an old lady like she did. She alredy doesn't have a lot of time left.... Dmitri thought, refering to his abilty to see a person's life line but, not being able to speak about it.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth looked at Dmitri. "Oh, calm yourself. It's all over your face. Stop worrying about the old woman. She's fine. Plus, she'll be dead soon anyway, so may as well give her a bit of adrenaline while she's still alive. If you ask me, I just gave her a preview of what is to come. You know, like at the movies, but in real life." Elizabeth laughed again, and patted herself on the back. "Good work me."

Dmitri: Dmitri glared at the daughter of Charon. She was deifnantly making his blood boil at this point but, Dmitri attempted to calm himself down. He thought it best to not start a fight and even if he did would he be able to win? Sure Hades had taught him many stuff but, Hades wasn't an expert fighter like Ares. Within a few minutes Dmitri was able to calm down. "Whatever just dont do it again...." He said as he began to walk towards camp. He wasn't really in the mood for coversing anymore. "Maybe we will meet again but, for now ide much rather relax in my room at camp...." Was all he said as he took one glance back towards Elizabeth and gave a soft smile before shadow traveling to his room.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth smiled sadly as the Thanatos child disappeared. "Hm. I must have intimidated my little cousin." Elizabeth said, laughing to herself, as she resumed her walk down the street towards the town.

TIMESKIP[]

RP- The Woods[]

Elizabeth: Elizabeth has walked around to familiarize herself with the area for the past few days, and she had found a sport in the woods with a small cave, a fire pit, and a stream, which reminded her of her times on Olympus. She was sitting on a rock by thhis stream one day, in a black dress. She had on the necklace given to her by Hestia, as she closed her eyes and prayed to Ares, as she did every day, telling him about her day, like she used to do on Olympus. She knew he could hear him, and sometimes he even responded, by causing he scythe to transform to let her know he was listening. it was good. A few days ago I met this kid... He's the first person down here I felt I could tolerate, and who didn't feel like a stranger. But he's gone now.

Dmitri: The cracking of branches and leaves could be heard as the son of Thanatos strolled through the forest. Most would think that a demigod would be more quiet but, today Dmitri didn't seem to care. After minutes of passing tree after tree the son of thanatos came across a cave, where he spotted a girl. The girls hair and figure seemed very familiar so he took a chance and walked into the cave. "Of course you would be in a place like this." Dmitri voiced with a small smile placed on his lips. His guess about who the person could be was proven right as he walked around and noticed it was in fact Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth smiled. She didn't get up, but rather sat still on the rock as she spoke. "Dmitri. How splendid of you to come visit me in my humble abode here. Or at least it's as close as I get to having one. But something tells me that I am not the reason for your venture into the deep woods. Or am I? What are you doing out here? Not many demigods dare enter this treacherous terrain not just because of me, but because of the monsters that roam free through these woods. Nobody comes here without a purpose. So tell me, what is yours?"

Dmitri: A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he heard Elizabeth's responce. "I enjoy the silence..... Camp can be a bit to loud for me" He simply said, gradually walking over to a rock and ditting down on it. "he monsters dont bother me much anyways. i'm more then capable of protecting myself." He voiced as he looked up towards the young demigoddess. The fire dimly lit his face and danced around in his eyes as he looked towards the girl.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth smiled, not having yet faced Dmitri. She loved intimidating him. He seemed intrigued by her, yet scared of her at the same time. Elizabeth enjoyed messing with him. It provided her with a twisted sense of pleasure, that she had always managed to get from training with gods on Olympus. But now that she was on Earth, intimidation would have to do. "Really? Care to test that theory?" Elizabeth waved her left hand over the bracelet on her right, which transformed into her scythe. Elizabeth faced Dmitri and raised an eyebrow. Come on, show me what you can do, Mr. "I can protect myself."

Dmitri: Dimitri wasn't in the mood to fight, he would rather sit around the fire. With that thought the son of Thanatos shook his head and sat on a rock located a few feet in front of the fire. "Not really in the mood to fight." He said now looking up to her, the fire refelting in his eyes.

Elizabeth: Smiling slyly, Elizabeth put her Scythe away. "Aww ok, you're such a pacifist little cuz. It's almost cute. What are you in the mood for? I rarely find someone whose company I can tolerate. What about hide and seek?" Elizabeth manipulated the shadows around her so she was nearly invisible, as a demonstration. "Or we could just sit here and have some sort of quasi -deep conversation. Whatever you want. But later though, I wanna see if you have any skills in battle. It's the dog with all the bark that gets eaten by the one with all the bite. I bet I could teach you a few things. Let me know if you change your mind."

Dmitri: "Aren't BC members supposed to hate campers?" Dmitri said with a raised eyebrow. It was more of a joking question then a serious one but, considering Elizabeth's lack of human interaction she may not have picked up on it. "I mean it's cool though." He smiled

Elizabeth: Elizabeth sighed. "Some do. But I don't define myself by hatred. I define myself through a lust for battle. It is my job as a Broken Covenant member to recruit campers to the Broken Covenant. So, you wanna join? Or should we do something and I can hope you one day change your mind?"

Dmitiri: "Recruiting me to the BC would probably get everyone off your back... wouldn't it?" The son of Thanatos stated, his gaze staying fixed on the fire. "Sadly im loyal to my father.... who has kindly made me his priest so, dont hold your breath." Dimitri said finally looking up to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Elizabeth looked disappointed. "That's unfortunate. And yes, it would. Well if you ever change your mind on the subject, I would be very happy around to give you the tour." Elizabeth reached into her pocket and took out a drachma. "Take this and send me an Iris message if you have a change in heart. Don't forget about me. The Broken Covenant is waiting."

Dmitri: A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he heard the daughter of Charon. "You sound like one of those modern day comercials i'v seen." he said with a small laugh after.
