Calixto: He walks shows Mairin to the arena and walks out into the center. "So how do you wanna start?"
Mairin: "well, i guess you can throw a few of your moves and then thats where it can start. oh and weapons or no weapons?" She asks him while polishing her sai swords.
Calixto: "Let's see how you handle those swords first of all" He pulls out his pocket watch and clicks it, turning it into a silver shortsword
Mairin: She puts a sai in each hand and waits for her opponent to strike.
Calixto: He spins his sword and gets into a ready position. He then lunges forward with his blade
Mairin: She dodges with ease. She strikes back with her her sai swords.
Calixto: Expecting this, he ducks and rolls away from the swords. He flips up and gets back on his feet as he begins to chuckle
Mairin: She grunts in response and then slashes at him rapidly with her sais.
Calixto: He catches one of the sais against his sword, but has to sidestep to avoid the second one
Mairin: She puts some of her strength on the sai he caught and then swipes the other sai near his waist.
Calixto: He twists his sword against her sai and grunts as he barely catches her other arm before it strikes him
Mairin: She strikes again, this time using both of her sais.
Calixto: He backflips out of the way, but his jeans are caught in one of the sais and are ripped
Mairin: She stifles a laugh with a smirk. She takes this as an opening and swipes one of her sais at his feet.
Calixto: Expecting this, he thrusts his sword towards the ground, blocking the sai. He then back steps and cracks a smile
Mairin: She frowns in response and swipes at him with her sais in a spin.
Calix: He ducks down, Matrix style, and when he gets back up, he throws a punch at her face
Mairin: She gets hit by his punch. "Oh, fists now? Okay then," She said as she dropped her weapons and cracked her knuckles.
She throws a few punches at Calix.
Calix: He kicks his sword out of the arena and sidesteps the first few punches, but gets caught on the shoulder by one of the later ones. "Someone packs a punch"
Mairin: "I train everyday and any time I get," She commented as she threw in a kick.
Calixto: He sidesteps and dodges the kick. He grabs her ankle and holds her up, trying to flip her
Mairin: She yanks her ankle from his hands and does a side kick using her other foot.
Calixto: He blocks her kick with his forearm and retaliates with a sidekick himself
Mairin: She's hit with the kick but strikes back with a couple of fierce punches.
Calix: His chest gets caught by a few of the punches, but he successfully backs of far enough so that not all make contact. He wheezes slightly, then bursts into laughter
Mairin: She looks puzzled. "What's so funny?"
Calix: He wipes a laughter induced tear from his eye, "And you said you were bad. I thought this'd be cake. Really? It's a bit more like pie"
Mairin: She frowns. "I am bad. My punches were off, my strength is horrible, and I still need to work on my flexibility and my acrobatics."
Calixto: He shrugs "I can't help with strength, but acrobatics wise, I'm your guy" He demonstrates this by showing of some extremely difficult acrobatic tricks with ease
Mairin: Her jaw drops in awe. "That was amazing! You can definitely help me with my acrobatics. as for my strength, i punch through the toughest metal I ask from the Hephaestus kids. And Calix you gotta show me how to do that"
Calix: "It'll take a while to make it feel natural though. I've been doing stuff like that since as long as I can remember. Thank you circus" He cracks a wide smile
Mairin: "you were in the circus? What was it like?" She said while sitting down, "Oh and wanna take a break?"
Calix: "Sure" He sits on the floor and ruffles his hair "It was the best. Always travelling to new places. Always being the star. Oh, it was the great"
Mairin: "Sounds like fun. I've actually never been outside of my hometown before. Dad even wouldn't let me travel to Japan to visit our cousins there," She stares at the ground.
Calix: "Where's your hometown then? And I bet Japan's a cool place"
Mairin: "San Diego. I live in the west coast, well, used to."
Calix: "So did you go across the country by yourself? Or did your dad take you?"
Mairin: "A satyr friend travels with me back and forward," She said as she uses her hand to comb through her hair.
Calix: "Someone's got better luck with satyr's than me" He goes over to his backpack and pulls out a BLT sandwich "Hungry?"
Mairin: *she eyed the BLT* "Yes!"
Calix: He hands her half of the sandwich and starts nibbling on his. "Just so you know, I'm a big fatty and I will almost always have food with me"
Mairin: "Ahahaha! I'm always a fatty when it comes to food too. I have an empty bottomless pit," She said as she patted her stomach.
Calix; "Well you gotta eat whenever you can" As he says this, he gobbles down the rest of his slice
Mairin: She basically swallows her sandwich slice whole, then she looks sheepishly at Calix.
Calix: He raises an eyebrow "So do you want to continue training or what?"
Mairin: "sure!" She jumps up to her feet.
Calix: He wipes his hands on his jeans and flips up. "So how well can you use your powers?"
Mairin: "well, i could conjure an intense beam of plasma and tiny stars that could act as a shield but that's basically it. I don't use my powers that much as much as my regular skills like my agility and etc.." She rambled.
Calix: "Well it isn't mandatory that you use them, but they've what you come with as a demigod, so you might as well use them." He takes a step back and wags his finger, inviting an attack "Show me what you've got"
Mairin: She concentrates on conjuring small stars to attack him with, but as soon as the stars' glow becomes bright, they died out.
Mairin has a -.-" on her face and she doesn't say a word.
Calix: He stuffs his hands into his pocket and raises his eyebrow "That it?"
Mairin:........... "I guess that's all I got... My powers aren't that strong as my strength even though both of them are weak." She sheepishly said.
Calix: "No sister of mine is weak. It just takes the right mindset" He demonstrates this by creating a spinning star in his hand
Mairin: She stared at it in awe. "That is cool!"
