Personality: Easy going. Doesn't hold a grudge. Easy to get along with
History: John Maxwell met Emily Haynes (the aliases mike's mother was using) during a college basketball game. She was posing as a reporter and invited him to her hotel after one of his games. They talked for a few hours and then started going out. A month or two after dating she disappeared leaving no information behind for John to find her. 9 months later there was a baby on his doorstep. With a l note saying "The baby is yours his name is Michael, take care of him- Emily". Not wanting to be some dead beat dad he kept him.
Growing up John always excelled in sports and had no problem making friends. He grew up in a gated community so he knew everyone who lived there. His father was always amazed by how great he was at sports, along with everyone in his community. Therefore his was well knowen by everyone who lived in his community.
He had a best friend named Boyd,who was always there for him and never left his side. When Michael was 14 he discovered his friends true identity, and his. A new neighbor who had just moved in was messing with some of the kids heading to school. The person was male and looked like an ugly football player Michael, not caring about the major size difference or Boyd's warning not to approach, intervened. The dude attacked Michael and Boyd had to step in.
While Boyd was fighting the bully Michael realized the bully didn't look ordinary, he had one eye, and that's because he was a cyclops. But, that was no problem for Boyd who was a satyr, he jumped up and killed the monster easily after stabbing it in the eye. He then took Michael home to pack his bag, his dad wasn't home so he didn't get a chance to say goodbye so his father didn't know he left.
On their way to camp Michael and boyd got attacked by a couple of hell hounds, but boyd handled the first one with no problems... Sadly, that wasn't the case when it came to the 2nd one. Boyd was killed in the process of fighting it, but got a chance to tell Michael to run. When Michael made it to camp he was exhausted and a bit confused. He couldn't believe his best friend risked his life to save him.
