((I feel like I should've done this first but...y'know...)) Name: Nera

Gender: Female

Age: Thousands of years old

God Parent: Uh...Deimos, technically.

Species: Fear Nymph

Weapon: Celestial bronze claws.

Appearance: It's basically this.

Personality: When not completely messing around with her target, who she is hellbent on ruining the life of, she is just more or less a casual trickster. She doesn't normally play pranks on the other campers, or any of the other nymphs, but sometimes she does enjoy setting up a dastardly trick for the demigods and watching them squirm away from the product of her genius. She's very overconfident in her schemes as well, and acts like she is practically invincible. You can thank her inability to feel anything such as fear or dread to that. This has caused her to stand up to people such at the children of Ares, Kratos, and some of the stronger demigods. It doesn't seem like she fears the consequences of her actions. She's very carefree. If you happen to catch her at the time where she's not scaring her target or pulling a prank on someone else, she's very charismatic and absolutely loves a good chat. Her ideal day is lounging out in the sun, messing up some poor sap's day, and possibly flirting with a demigod or nymph or two. She doesn't discriminate, that's for sure. Though, it's safe to say that she can also get a little tunnel visioned when set on something, especially when she has a plan that she's certain will work, even after a couple of tries. I mean, clearly there's no other way of doing it, right?

History: Nera was created a long, long, long, long, looooong time ago. How long, you may ask? Well, several thousand years old, that's how old she happens to be. She had been around since the worship of Aphrodite had begun. Aphrodite? Isn't she a love goddess, well, yes, but Nera has a very interesting story behind her creation thousands of years ago. You see, when the Greeks were still powerful, and the greek gods still in the area, there was a man by the name of Adonis, and Adonis was a very disrespectful man. So disrespectful, in fact, that he didn't even care about worshipers of the gods and goddesses, or men and woman of the cloth.

Indeed, anyone that Adonis had come across, he would treat as equal. Everyone was equally garbage to him, and because of that, he treated them all as such. He stole, he lied, he even murdered once, after a feud over a bet and how he didn't want to pay up. However, these were only events that would lead up to what would truly be his greatest evil. You see, one dark night, Adonis had snuck right into an old temple dedicated to Aphrodite, and he was not there to worship. Instead, he was there to spy on the priestesses, and he wasn't there to just gaze. He wanted to take. And it was there, right underneath a statue of the goddess herself, that Adonis would defile one of the women of the cloth, a worshiper of Aphrodite, and you didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that he wasn't given consent.

Safe to say, Aphrodite was absolutely furious about what had happened to her servant. So, she started crafting a wicked punishment for the man known as Adonis. She had met with the god Deimos, and asked him to help her in making a nymph that would feed upon a specific man's fear. After hearing why she needed such a nymph, Deimos, obviously wanting to help his mother and hoping she'd have a high opinion of him, would quickly agree to help, and it wasn't long until Deimos took all of the man's fears, from the basic to the extremely specific, and put them into one nymph, and her name would be Nera, and her soul purpose in life was to track down Adonis and make his life a living hell.

And that was exactly what she had done. Every night, she would come to him in his sleep, give him terrible nightmares, touching upon every single one of his fears, and she found sick enjoyment in watching such a man squirm. She'd only allow him to catch glimpses of her just out of the corner of his eyes, but on rare ocassions she'd run at him with some mortal weapon through the forest, making him incredibly paranoid when he went out. Adonis, however, was a surprisingly determined man, and despite Nera's constant meddling, he was able to finally have a wife and several kids.

Eventually, Nera had gotten to Adonis, however, and he died of a weak heart. With her target dead, Nera would then attempt to contact Deimos and tell him that the deed was done. She would ask for her next assignment, but she would be given vague answers that essentially boiled down to just existing. What? She couldn't just exist. She needed a purpose, a goal! And so, her goal was to stalk, scare, and haunt Adonis's family, the Pamalone house, as she had learned after a while, and it was in their household that she would be able to roam and have the time of her immortal life.

Meddling with the Pamalones was probably the best thing for a nymph like her to do, and she succeeded greatly in this. Many of the Pamalones would die early deaths from heart attacks throughout the region. Nera was sloppy at times, though, allowing herself to be seen by other people, which was why she had gotten the nickname the Ghost of House Pamalone. If you went to a specific backstreet in Greece today, you'd see a house that people will claim is still haunted by the alleged ghost, but clearly that's not the case. Instead, wherever the Pamalones went, she would follow.

During a time the humans had called the Second World War, Nera had to make a little dangerous trip. She had to spend her time on a ship with the Pamalones, a ship that would lead them to the Americas. the coast of Florida, to be specific. She had to leave her Greek home in order to fulfill her duty, and oh boy was she still having fun with it! She would continue to mess with them, and the mysterious deaths would only continue throughout the family as father, brother, and daughter would be snuffed out and scared to death by the nymph. It seemed a weak heart was just genetic. All the better.

However, it wasn't long until eventually, there were only two left, a parent and their offspring. At first, Nera had targeted the parent, thinking that it should be an easy scare, and an easy "accident" for the police to investigate. Though, when news came that the child was heading off to Camp Half Blood, well, she couldn't resist. Not only was the parent sickly and likely to die anyhow, but young ones were simply delightful to scare, and this would give her the chance to truly spread her influence. However, the Pamalone child would always take first priority over all of the others. It may take a while, but no matter what, she was going to die, and it was going to be by her hands.

Hello there and welcome to CHBRP Wiki! I'm one of the claimers here and I'll help you get your character get claimed as soon as possible ;)

  • So just a few things. Here is a list of the powers of a fear nymph. Some of the abilities stated in the history aren't in the list, and we have to follow that.
  • Nymphs don't have weapons embedded in their bodies.
  • Is this Pamalone child a user-owned character here or just made up? Please tell me how she's going to interact if slowly killing the kid with fear is her goal.

That's all, and if you have any questions, please, don't hesitate to ask me, oki?

Oh hello there! I think I respond here, but to adress the problems, I can edit out whatever is too messed up in the backstory. Most of it can be easily edited out. About the claws, I should've explained more. They're not it like wolverine claws. They're like Brass knuckles that have claws embedded in them. They're not a biological part of them. And three, the child is going to be another character I make and I'm just lazy so I haven't worked on it. Is it all addressed? If so I can get to editing real quick.

Also for my demigod am I supposed to claim first or make the profile first? Just checking. Thank you! I edited the backstory a bit now. Feel free to take a look.

Yes, thank you for responding. And you don't have to wait for further instructions to edit your claim, just have it fixed as the claimers suggest (and about the claws, I really would like to see an explanation for that). And like all the claims, you are supposed to have the character claim first before creating their profile, oki? :)

Well, the way I can see it is like brass knuckles, but instead of it being a blunt weapon there are blades at the end of the knuckles for cutting and stabbing. It's hard to explain the image correctly, but This is similar to what I had in mind honestly. I don't know if that'd fly or not, but I thought it was worth a shot.

I'm terribly sorry for being online just now. (I'll accept the brass claws as an individual weapon of hers.)

You Have Been Claimed

Logo camp

This claim has been approved as a fear nymph. You now need to make a page for them and a word bubble, if you aren't sure how to do this you can see the guide here. Once you have done that you can add your character's name to the cabin list located on the cabin pages and start role playing with your new character. If you have any questions feel free to ask a member of the Admin team.
