Arena[]
- This arena is essentially a tightly compacted jungle/forest, with tall cliffs along the edges of the arena
- At various points in the forest/jungle there are some small waterfalls and ponds
- The arena is open to the sky and elements, however due to the tightly compacted nature of the jungle/forest, there are areas where the sky cannot be seen, along with lots of shadows and places to hide
- At the centre of the arena (jungle/forest), there is a medium sized temple, it is the darkest at this point and there are pyres, full of fire and wood, at the entrance to the temple. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.
- Inside the temple are various Greek statues, roughly 6 feet tall
- There are numerous and various species of wildlife hidden amongst the forest/jungle, but none larger than a grizzly bear

[[|Bishop Ventus]] ~ Son of Aeolus | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
"Death is like the wind; Always by my side." |
He follows Dirk closely, keeping an eye out behind them so as not to be ambushed. He opted for very light armour, a scale chestplate and greaves. Strapped to his waist, his falchion clinks in it's sheath, a sound Bishop has grown to appreciate. He yawns softly, awaiting movement from the enemy, or an order from Dirk, "A bit quiet, don't you think?" He remarks, leaning against a crumbling statue of Demeter. | |||||||

Fight[]
Dirk: From his vantage point outside the temple, Dirk spots the antagonistic duo approaching from the opposite side he and Bishop had reached the temple from. "Looks like we have company", he sneers. Sizing up his opponents, Dirk immediately deems Jack the more potent threat of the two and nods grimly at him. Switching his grip on his warhammers from the handles to the small length of chain protruding from each one, he quickly extends the chain on his right warhammer to a sufficient enough length that he can efficently combat Jack's longswords. With his left warhammer however, Dirk quickly holds it out wide and then swings it toward Jack. As he does so, the chain bursts forward and attempts to wrap itself around the upper-middle portion of Jack's torso.
Bishop: Bishop quickly reacts to his partner's attack, causing strong footwinds beneath Jack, hoping to rid him of his balance. At the same time, Bishop runs with aided speed past Dirk, quickly drawing his falchion. From about four feet away and well out of reach of Evangeline's stiletto, he slashes upward in a diagonal line across her midsection.
Evangeline: She notices Bishop slashing towards her, and so she instinctively jumps backwards and creates a moonlight mirror to shield her from his falchion. Obviously, as the blade hits the mirror, it shatters, and luckily Evangeline is only minutely harmed by his attack - though some of the shards do graze her. She shakes herself off and focuses a beam of moonlight on Bishop's falchion-arm, hoping to disarm him.
Jack: He hears the rattle of the chains as the warhammer head flies to towards him. He pants he feet and dips his elbow out in front of chain, causing it to whip around and hit him in the back at a much slower velocity. He groans as it hits him and rotates his forearm to wrap the chain around it before he grabs hold. At this time the footwind, hits him and causes him to stumble forward,. After a couple steps, he pants his feet again and torques his entire upper body back to pull who ever is on the other end. He finally looks down the chain and see Dirk. His eyes glow dark red as he surges his powers of terror to flood over him, attempting to influence his mind to be filled with his worst fear. He drops the chain and charges at him in full sprint. When he gets next to him, he overhand slices down at his neck this his left hand and stabs up towards his left armpit.
Dirk: The world seems to slow down for Dirk as his battle instincts take over and he analyzes the current situation. He has three predicaments he must overcome in the fleeting seconds available to him: Retrieve his left hammer, devise some counter to Jack's heinous fear attack, and save himself from being skewered by Jack's crimson blades. To accomplish this, he quickly renders himself resistant to all physical attack, Doing so eliminates quandary number three, not to mention buys him more time to deal with pickles one and two. He then simply drops the chain of the left warhammer and allows it to plummet harmlessly to the ground. Doing so causes the chain to retract back into the hammer, thereby allowing the erstwhile weapon to retrieve itself. With his left hand now free, Dirk instantaneously creates a large smokescreen in order to mitigate the effects of Jack's fear wave. Under the cover of the smokescreen, he bites his tongue and chants a quick mantra to overcome the lingering effects of Jack's attacks that weren't gridlocked by the smoke. Shrugging off the vain attempts of Jack's swords to penetrate his neck and armpit, Dirk retrieves his hammer and then sprawls and somersaults a sufficient distance away from Jack. Getting to his feet, he quickly diffuses his resistant power in order to be prudent with the limited amount of energy that he has.
Bishop: Bishop's momentum carried him into a spin after the slash, both avoiding the beam of moonlight and also closing the distance to Evangeline. He stands far enough away that his falchion cannot hit her, but slashes anyway, sending a blade of wind at her, aimed at her waist. He follows this up quickly with a bold move. Leaping straight at her, Bishop enhances his speed once again to stab wildly at Evangeline's war fan, hoping to force her to either rely solely on her powers and stiletto, which would greatly reduce her odds against's Bishops far range, or to miss and incapacitate her altogether.
Evangeline: She's knocked back by the gust of wind, which knocks her back. Unfortunately for her, this shocks her slightly and while trying to recalibrate, she loses the fan, and it falls from her waist to a nearby shrub. She lifts herself up, and uses her light armour advantage to compliment her agility as she runs towards him. She knows that her stiletto will be more useful at close combat, so she charges towards him, using the trees and tightly-packed jungle to break the flow of the wind against her. As she reaches about three feet away, she lifts her stiletto and swings at his torso, aiming to break the chinks in his light scale armour.
Jack: He grits his teeth as his attack is shrugged off, pissing him off a bit. Then and idea comes to him. Useing Dirk's smokescreen to his own advantage, him takes as deep a breath as he can, concerntrating his powers. He releases his powers into a terrifying aura as he lets out an hellish battlecry. He focus part of his power to take away the terror from Evangeline to keep her uneffected, but letting every other living thing in the area feel his aura in full. He rushes again at Dirk, breaking through the smokescreen with the presence and appearance of a walking armageddon. Once he's close enough, he swings across his body at Dirk's neck, hoping he steps back as his stabs with his other sword at his thigh.
Dirk: Dirk is able to maintain mastery over himself for just enough time that he is able to pivot and avoid the perilous strike heading for his neck. However, the aura of fear soon overcomes him and he is powerless to anything but clutch his head and flail as Jack's second thrust makes contact with his thigh. Luckily, his foolish flailing results in the blade simply causing a moderate cut in his thigh as opposed to a lethal stab. As the pain erupts, Dirk is snapped out of his fear induced stupor. Back to sufficient mental and emotional capacity, he takes a moment to cauterize his leg wound and then readies himself to return to the offensive. Dirk charges at Jack, holding his warhammers out wide. He advances close enough to the point that he is capable of landing a strike without needing to elongate the chains. His arms held out wide on each side of Jack's head, he expeditiously swings his arms toward each other in an exertion to smash Jack's head from both sides. As the arms swing toward each other, Dirk decides to spring his ruthless trap. From his radiant gauntlets, two keen-edged Pata blades suddenly protrude. With nowhere to go but forward, they extend inevitably and precariously toward Jack's neck; threatening to pierce his jugular. Fuelled by an unconquerable rage as a result of Jack's fear tactics, Dirk aspires to force Jack to tap into his powers and therefore his energy in order to survive the attack.
Bishop: Incapable of emotion, Bishop remains calm and collected through the wave of terror that Jack tried to force him into. Evangeline's rush was bolder than Bishop expected from her, but he was not surprised. He grinned maliciously as he allowed Evangeline to slice at his armour. The intricate design of scale armor disallows for chinks, atleast when simply slashing. Her stiletto slides harmlessly across his armor, and Bishop retaliates by swinging his hilt towards Evangeline's head, trying to knock her unconscious. He anticipates a simple sidestep from Evangeline, and uses the wind to slow her movements, while simultaneously using the air to form a small barrage of bullets - only about 6 - to deny that option.
