Aaron Clarity was a young and reckless man. His life was spent drinking at bars and the occasional modeling gig. One day, he saw a commotion over by the bar and went to see what it was. A beautiful woman sat in one of the stools, drinking a glass of wine slowly. He went over to her and they talked for many long hours, which eventually resulted in a one night stand. Aaron completely forgot about this until around 5 months later, when he received the little Daphne in a basket. He was shocked, and the only thing he ever did was name her before he threw her out on the streets in a basket. He put her next to a homeless shelter in the middle of the night, then crept off. Later, he felt guilty and began to study up on how to be a better parent so he would be ready. Two years later, when Aphrodite mothered him a child, he rose her with amazing love and care.
A homeless couple was extremely grateful and brought Daphne into their care. The very little money they had went to her, and they made sure that she had anything that she wanted. She was schooled on the streets by her parents. Living with two adults, she was protected, but food, was hard to get. When she was 8, though, she realized that she could steal food without being caught. Her parents had no idea where all of the food was coming from, but they were happy and grateful. But, she was still not happy, feeling that something was taken away from her, and she wanted it back.
At 12, she got attacked by a hellhound. She screamed and hid in the corner of an alleyway as it leaped to strike, but, a satyr, who happened to be from the BC came. Now, this was no ordinary satyr, he was a maniac. He had a lair upstate, near the BC, and he took Daphne there, giving her a special necklace that served as a monster ward. She fell in love with him and worshipped him. They plotted their plans to make demigods the master race. She told him that she would make sure that he had a place. In turn, he helped her scheme.
There, he forged for her a CB axe with 2 detachable blades that could be used as throwing knives, as well as an array of different poisons and other things. He told her all about the family that she really had, a father and a younger sister, Aerin Clarity, who was also a demigod. Even though she didn’t even know them, her hatred rose higher and higher. She also hated the gods for giving Aerin a good life and her an unfortunate one.
For the next 4 years, she planned something that would shatter both the lives of Aaron and Aerin forever. On the day of Aerin’s 14th birthday, while her father was out driving to a modeling trip, she asked the satyr to crash their cars, which she hoped would kill Aaron. The satyr drove them, while Daphne sat in the backseat away from harm, and successfully crashed the cars. Both Aaron and the satyr died, and the police came as fast as they possibly could. Being a child of Eris, Daphne successfully created a distraction and ran off with an array of poisons, explosives, and her axe and monster ward from the satyr.
For the next year, she was out on the run. She was able to cause commotions so that the police didn’t catch her, which made her feel like she was extremely special. She began to feel like both humans and gods were beneath her, that she was the champion of all. The gods only liked those who were weaker, more likely to succumb to them, like her sister. But, people like her were the real threat. They were stronger, wiser, and better than the gods or mortal would ever be.
A policeman caught up to her one day, and she tried to escape, but he was strong and resistant. So, she took out her throwing knife and killed him, making him the first person she ever killed face to face, and put his blood in a bottle. By mixing that blood with poison, she made a nail polish that could easily knock people unconscious, or, if it was a big enough dose, kill.
After she got away with that crime, she began to go crazy. She adopted the satyr's name, Max, as her middle name. She read instruction books that the satyr had left behind and began to develop bombs and poisons. Every time she killed someone, she made a new nail polish with their blood. She would then mark their skin with a D and burn them. She believed that the smoke from the bodies would grant the satyr with a new essence, giving him life. She robbed banks and stores so that she would have food. She began to kill for pleasure instead of in tribute, and began to spiral into being purely psychotic and bloodthirsty. She thought that she was the most powerful of all, having the power of a god and the innocence of a mortal. She respected anyone of her race who would kill mortals, for she believed that demigods should obliterate anyone who did not meet their power so that they could show the gods that they were weak. She always got away with it, because she was a child of Eris.
Eventually, when she was 17, a child from Opus found her burning a body and told her about the BC and his faction, saying that they wanted her for their purpose. Truthfully, he was worried that she might turn on demigods as well as mortals. She agreed and let her take her back to upstate NY, as they passed by what would have been her satyr’s lab, she saw that it was all burned. She believed that the satyr had not liked the burning of the bodies, so he had burned his lab down. This made her even more mad and she swore that she would kill anyone who crossed her the wrong way. Though, she made a silent vow to never burn bodies, but instead hang them on trees. Soon, they finished driving to the BC, and she was lead to the Opus dorms, where she resides. She is now content killing camp demigods, for she feels that the fact that they worship and slave for the gods makes them just as bad as the mortals.
