Water Arena

Arenas agua2
  • Both very deep and shallow water areas, ranging from 20 feet deep to a few inches
  • A tunnel deep down goes out to the ocean where other creatures could be called in
  • There's plenty of dry areas as well for users not Palaemon or Poseidon kids, that are covered with anything ranging from sand to grass to some small vegetation/shrubs
  • There are some trees around the sides of the arena and below the cliffs (not shown in picture) that can be used for cover and provides plenty of places for shadows
  • There are also cliffs around parts of the Arena, ranging in height, with both water and land below them, the cliffs also cast shadows on the arena below
  • The arena is open to the sky and elements
  • On each end of the arena, on top of some large pillars, are pyres, full of fire and wood. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.

*He enters the arena, examining everything. He's wearing a bronze chest-plate over his t-shirt, arm guards covering his wrists, and his glasses on high. He has Blizzard strapped to his back as he walks toward Elixabeth* "Hey."

Elixabeth: "Let's do this brother." Elixabeth quickly hovered over to the center of the water and then let herself fall into its deep water. She then quickly popped her head up and formed a small raft of ice. Climbing onto it, she let the cold water seep into her as she activated her harpoon and waited for Conner to make his move.

Conner: "Do let's." He blasts a gust of icy air at her to distract her. He then hovers over to one of the nearby cliffs above them. He hides in the land below, devising a strategy to use

Elixabeth: The gust of air causes Elixabeth to slightly lose her balance but she manages to stay on her feet. Even while distracted, Elixabeth had seen Conner fly below the cliffs thoug she knew not exactly where. Determining that this was a less than auspicious spot for him to be, she formed a large spike of ice and with a deep breath launched it at the cliffside. The spike immediately made contact with the rocks on the side of the cliff and sent them barrelling down toward the land below. Elixabeth still could not pinpoint Conner's location but hoped that the rockslide would reveal it for her.

Conner: Conner heard the rock slide coming and he hovered above the ground. He dodged most of the rocks coming at him from above, some barely scratched his skin. After it stopped, he came down, hoping he wasn't seen. He strategized a plan for a sniper-type, attack to wound her a little. He created an ice bow and arrow and peered over a rock, aiming at her shoulder. He let the arrow go, flying towards her

Elixabeth: Elixabeth had kept her eyes firmly toward the Cliff area and so was able to immediately glimpse the trajectory of the arrow. She quickly summoned a small gust of wind that swerved the trajectory of the projectile harmlessly into the water. Devising a strategy to lure back Conner, Elixabeth stepped to the edge of her raft and placed both hands on the surface of the water. She froze a deceitfully thin layer of ice over the water so that it would appear to be a crosseable surface. Elixabeth then formed a circle of  8 foot tall Stactites around her platform that subtely curved inwardly toward each other the higher they got so that at the top each spike was only about 2 inches from any other.

Conner: He saw what she was trying to do, so he had to think of something else. He summoned a hail storm over her to distract her. He hovered up and, stealthly, flew to one of the towers behind her. He was careful not to draw her attention, since that would be a bad move.

Elixabeth: Unfortunately for Conner, his flight caused a slight whistling sound which caused Elixabeth to look up and see him. Trying to halt his path before he could reach his destination, she straightened out one of the stalactites, and grew it out into the sky, hoping to pierce the airborne Conner. With some luck, Conner would be turned into a human Shishkebab and the challenge would be won.

Conner: Luckily, Conner was quick. He zoomed to the left before the spike could make contact with him. "Nice try! You almost got me!" He landed on the ground, away from her raft. He created an ice shield, the size and shape of Captain America's. He took it and threw it like a frisbee, as hard as he could, at Elixabeth.

Elixabeth: The shield flew menacingly toward Elixabeth but then collided with one of the stalactites and shattered, spreading just a few particles of ice in Elixabeth's direction. Shaking the ice out of her face, she repaired the destroyed stalactite and then deactivated her harpoon. Taking out her bow, she drew an arrow to the bowstring and pulled it taut. Elixabeth gingerly raised the bow and took aim at Conner's third eye. Confident she had a precise angle, she released the arrow and sent the sharpened projectile speeding toward its target.

Conner: Quickly, he dropped to the ground, dodging the arrow aimed at him. He gets back up,creating another shield. He bekons her "Come on, that the best you got?" He steps foward a bit, keeping his guard up. He has Blizzard at his side, in case he has to do close range fighting.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth shook her head dissmisively. "You are not fit to rule this cabin." Putting her bow back on her back, Elixabeth raised both her hands and lifted all of the Stalactites into the air. Taking a deep breath, she leaned back on her right foot and then launched the large spikes with all of her power toward her opponent. Momentarily out of breath, she took a seat on the platform and stopped to catch her breath.

Conner: "You never gave me a chance Elixabeth, I only just got the job!" He launches into the air, dodging most of the spikes, cutting some down to size. One spike got lucky, grazing his arm a little. It hurt but he shrugged it off, still dodging the spike. After all of them were gone, he landed back on the ground, gripping his arm.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth gazed in condescending pity at her opponent. She took her bow back off her back and held it loosely in her hand but did not string it. Instead, she simply continued gazing intently at Conner and allowed him to make the next move.

Conner: He lets go of his shoulder, shrugging off the pain. He rolls his shoulders, switching Blizzard to his other hand. He creates 2 miny tornadoes and aims them at her, following up with 3 ice batarangs. One aimed at her head, the other to at her thighs.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth prepares to attempt to dispel the miniature tornadoes, but instead decides to take advantage of them to evade the much more lethal batarangs. The tornadoes blast her off her feet and onto the thin ice layer, which shatters. but as she is blasted off the batarangs fly harmlessly past. The cold water washes over her and invigorates her and when she climbs back onto the platform she is fresh and full of guile. Activating her harpoon, she holds it ready to throw with one hand while keeping the other free. As she releases the harpoon and throws it toward Conner, she summons all of her power and conjures a 6'5" ice golem that appears behind Conner. She quickly directs the Golem to try to leap at him from behind and then sits wearily down on the platform to rejuvenate.

Conner: "Oh boy." He summons an ice storm around him, letting the the cold empower and rejuvenate him. Feeling great, he charges at the Golem with a plan in his mind. He shot 3 ice darts at the Golem, blinding it. He then slid under it, stabbing it between the legs with Blizzard. Getting up quickly, he was now behind the Golem. He hovered up and decapitated it, making it shatter into a pile of ice.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth grimaced as her golem was destroyed. She was still not satisfactorily rejuvenated and so remained in her seating position and gazed intently at Conner.

Conner: Catching his breath quickly, he hovers up, flying around to the back of Elixabeth. He then shoots at her, tackling her off of her platform and onto the ground in front. He holds her down with one knee and holds his sword over her head, pushing his glasses over his eyes. "Do you yield?"

Elixabeth: Rather than dignify his foolish question with a response, she simply stuck her left hand into her mouth. When she withdrew her hand, each finger was covered in a claw of ice. She angrily yet determinedly swiped at Conner's face with her clawed hand. As she did so, she used her other hand to conjure up a quick gust of wind and used it to jettison herself onto the thin layer of ice which again shattered beneath her. She used the cold water to reinvigorate herself once more as well as to wash herself clean of Conner's stench.

Conner: The side of his face gets slashed by her claw. This made him stagger back a little, grasping his face. Wiping the blood off, he plunges into the water away from her, letting it energize him. He comes back up quickly and puts his hand on the water, freezing it with Elixabeth in it.

You were both mostly evenly matched for most of the challenge, however I feel as though Wind had the upper hand through most of the battle and that Dark sort of kept COnner away from her a little. But both of you should be proud and this was very well done.

Gigi2 Brocky Good morning, campers!

Ily, Brocky, but I beg to differ >.<. I gave Dark zero points for a clear godmod, for when he killed the golem and pinned Elixabeth down. As for Wind, I took one point off of creativity, defense, and fairness, for when Elixabeth heard a whistle when Connor was flying. It didn't really make sense, as you don't hear whistles when someone moves, it wasn't metagaming, but it wasn't right either. Also, I've kinda been eeeh about saying this, but it's the second time, so, anyway, stalactites hang from ceilings, so they way you used them, isn't correct, because they'd be on point, so they'd fall over. Stalactites hang from ceilings stalagmites protrude from the ground and point upward.

Yeah I missed that part but fixed it before you judged, listening to music and reading confuses your brain. xD
