Arctic Arena

Arctic Arena
  • This arena is basically a frozen arctic area, it's always cold and entirely composed of ice and snow
  • There is a lake frozen at the top, covering a lake full of incredibly cold water
  • Many animals inhabit the area, such as walruses and polar bears.
  • Many mountains and peaks are scattered across the arena.
  • There is also a large cave and pyres, full of fire and wood, at the entrance to the cave. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out..

ElixabethBattle

Elixabeth Oslo -Child of Boreas
-The Queen in the North, Counsellor of Boreas' Cabin
Age: 15 Height: 5'6" Relationship:Single
Health Status: Healthy
Species: Demigod Main Weapon:Bow, Harpoon, Dao Broadswords

 – "Winter is Coming."

Elixabeth steps carefully into the arena and breathes in the crisp arctic air. Empowered by the cold and with snow and ice all around her, it is a Boreas child's dream come true. Unfortunately, she knows that this holds true for her opponent as well.Being able to naturally withstand the cold, Elixabeth doesn't bother with any winter gear and instead has garbed herself in a blue tank top and black yoga pants. Visibly protecting her chest area is a set of celestial bronze chainmail with light shoulder pauldrons to protect her from upward blows. She also has celestial bronze vambraces on her wrists and greaves on her legs. Her composite bow sits in its mist form keeping her hair in a ponytail and she holds what appears to be a single Broadsword in her right hand. Elixabeth slowly makes her way to the top of a small snow bank and awaits her opponent.

Accent: Neutral Birthplace: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Main Weapon(s): Spear

Powers
Powers of a Child of Boreas (3/6/9 Month Powers unlocked):
  1. Children of Boreas can create an incredibly cold wind around an opponent, the wind will follow them no matter what for a short time. The wind would make the user feel as if it’s 15 degrees (fahrenheit), distracting them and making them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Boreas have the ability to conjure up to ten long lances of ice which can surge forward and impale an opponent.
  3. Children of Boreas have the ability to create a dome shaped torrent of wind, roughly two or three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
  4. Children of Boreas can heal themselves by using ice, absorbing frozen energies which can freeze molecules, renew damaged cells, and also stop bleeding. This can be used to quickly heal minor wounds and slowly heal major, but not fatal, wounds. Ice healing only affects children of Boreas, Khione and Ice/Snow Nymphs as they are the only ones who can draw power from the snow.
  5. Children of Boreas are inherently resistant to the cold, including hypothermia and frostbite.
  6. Children of Boreas are inherently stronger during the winter or on any cold days.
  7. Children of Boreas always emit an aura of coldness, making others around them feel slightly cold. The user can shut it off for a long time if they choose to.
  8. Children of Boreas can turn water into ice or make it severely cold with a cool breeze.
  9. Children of Boreas have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.
  10. Children of Boreas can apply the power of 3rd or 4th degree frostbite to an opponent’s weapon, freezing it to the point that it becomes fragile and easily breakable. It only lasts for a short time, after which the weapon reverts to it’s normal temperature.
  11. Children of Boreas can create armor and weaponry out of ice. The larger the size and quantity of the weapons, the more energy is drained. They can also infuse existing weapons with ice in order to make them stronger.
  12. Children of Boreas can call upon the icy winds in order to speed up their movements and attacks.
  13. Children of Boreas can create a hail storm, with up to baseball size hail for a short time. The storm will produce powerful, freezing winds. The hail will fire in whatever direction the user wishes, the user will be somewhat drained once the storm subsides.
  14. Children of Boreas can create an ice dragon lacking wings, a semi-living construct creature of ice that could be called an ice drake, no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user, to fight for them for a short time. This drake attacks with frost breath which can damage and freeze opponents. While the Drake is active, the user has a hard time moving and afterwards must rest between making another one.
  15. Children of Boreas can shed their flesh and transform their bodies into pure cold air which grants them temporarily immunity from attacks as well as drastically enhances their current ice powers. This ability only lasts for a short time and the user will be left heavily drained and unable to move for some time and could possibly faint after the ability dissipates.
  16. Children of Boreas are often ambidextrous, a trait they share with Notus' children.
  17. Children of Boreas have a natural preference for places in the Northern Hemisphere, the further North the better. They also prefer anywhere cold in general.
  18. Children of Boreas are naturally skilled at ice fishing.
  19. Children of Boreas make excellent navigators due to their ability to always find North.
Not being the type of person who generally enjoys the snow or cold weather, when Brock first sets foot in the arena he sighs, letting the snow crackle beneath his shoes. He continues walking into the arena with a somewhat bored expression, due to him just waking up as well, he is hardly in the mood to fight, let alone fight to remain in power. He is wearing grey sweatpants and despite the fact that the cold doesn't bother him, he wears an oversized hoodie to hide his celestial bronze chest plate. He is wearing light running shoes for footwear as well as a beanie on his head to hide his horrible bedhead. As he walks further into the arena, he checks to make sure that his spear is in his pocket, when he realizes that it is in its mist form (its mist form is a marble), he then pulls the neck of his sweater so he can look down it to make sure he has all of his knifes strapped to his side (they are all in individual pockets on something that looks like a black shirt, but it only wraps around his chest. He then moves the position of his bow so it is slung across his back along with his quiver full of arrows. Once he eventually reaches the snow bank the Elixabeth is on, he has already examined a majority of what he could see in the arena, such as the frozen lake which had a few walruses on it. He looks at Elixabeth with a somewhat tired expression, "Why'd you have to challenge today of all days? I was going to stay in bed all day and watch Netflix." He rubs his eyes trying to get his vision clearer, "Now I have to get all sweaty trying to keep my position."

Elixabeth spots Brock and calls out to him and gives him a friendly wave. Opponents in this battle they may be, but he is her cabin mate nevertheless and she can't help but feel a little sheepish for dragging him into this. Nevertheless, she has a job to do and she knows she can't let familial bonds get in the way of it. As Elixabeth finishes waving, she replaces her friendly smile with a look of grim readiness and assumes a battle stance.

He motions for her to come towards him, wanting to analyze what he has to deal with in this fight without having to move right away. He quickly takes off his sweater and tied it around his waist, revealing his chest plate and the waist band that holds all of his knifes. It also reveals that he is wearing nothing else but his chest plate and the waist band holding his knifes. His arms completely bare. He then takes a knife out of it's holder and grips it in his right hand

Battle[]

  • Elixabeth: Elixabeth decides to oblige and takes a couple of paltry steps toward Brock. She isn't sure whether he is capable of analyzing her garb at this distance or not but she has little care either way. Deciding to open the battle on a light note, she deftly shapes a shuriken from the ice and tosses it casually yet accurately in the direction of Brock's forearm. Elixabeth is quite sanguine that her opponent will either dodge or block the bladed projectile with ease. However, she feels that the attack will serve as an appropriate opening salvo and send the message that playtime has reached its conclusion.
  • Brock: He watches Elixabeth as she tosses the shuriken at him and as it reaches roughly a meter or two away from him, he rolls to the right side, dodging the ice shuriken with ease. He then puts away the knife he had and grabs his bow, notching the arrow he then draws the bow and releases it, letting the arrow go. With luck the arrow should reach it's target which was Elixabeth's shin, he then runs off towards the large cave that he saw on his way into the arena due to it being lit up by pyres.
  • Elixabeth: As a result of being enhanced by the cold as well as the fact that the arrow is blown slightly wayward by the icy winds blowing southward in Brock's direction, Elixabeth is able to swing down with her broadsword and cut down the shaft before it can complete its trajectory. As she watches Brock make a beeline for the cave, she gives a cocksure grin and sheathes her broadsword; opting to activate her composite bow. She notches an arrow of her own, takes careful aim, and lets it fly. Aided by the wind, the arrow soars malevolently in the direction of Brock's posterior. Having absolutely no hankering for a battle fought in a dark cave, Elixabeth yearns to make Brock's attempt to do so literally come back and bite him in the ass.
  • Brock: Keeping his footwork quick, he focuses on his movements and decided not to bother about any upcoming attacks coming from Elixabeth. Leaving him vulnerable to the upcoming attack. The arrow pierces his lower right hip, sending a shooting pain up his side. He turns around deciding to face Elixabeth head on over being a coward in the cave. He then creates a gust of icy wind with sharp blades of ice along with the gust. The wind carries the sharp blades of ice all the way to Elixabeth, although Brock knows Elixabeth is armoured and the sharp blades would probably ricochet off of her armour, he at least hopes that it might slow her down, adding on to the effects that the icy wind would have, which would be slowing down anybody it encounters. Hoping the icy wind and ice blades would slow Elixabeth down, he runs back towards Elixabeth
  • Elixabeth: Elixabeth quickly deactivates her bow and places the hairpin in her pocket and then spawns a torrent of wind which stymies the ice blades before they can make contact with her. The defensive maneuver is not sufficient to halt the incoming wind however, and she is blown backwards slightly; though she remains on her feet. Seeing Brock advance toward her, Elixabeth quickly formulates a plan to check his progress. Drawing her broadsword once more with her right hand, she forms a set of perilous bolas out of ice with her left. She then maliciously lets the bolas fly toward Brock's ankles, seeking to trip him up and leave him in a profitably haphazard situation.
  • Brock: Due to the bolas being made out of ice, and the rope wouldn't be able to bend, they hit his ankles and following the impact, the bolas shatter into tons of small ice shards (Wind and I have talked about how bolas made out of ice wouldn't work prior to me posting this). Using the ice shards, Brock summons a gust of wind that carries the ice shards at a fast pace, with the ice shards hopefully creating a diversion, Brock takes off his sweater, revealing his chest plate and bare upper body, aside from the band that holds his knifes. Brock then grabs a knife and charges at Elixabeth, hoping the ice shards catch her off guard.
  • Elixabeth: Elixabeth elects to focus on Brock's approach rather than the shards that are preceding him and as a result she finds herself riddled with ice. A majority of the ice glances harmlessly off of her armor, but a few pieces make contact with her skin, causing moderate discomfort. With the barrage of shards accounted for, Elixabeth leaps to engage Brock, clutching her broadsword with both hands. At this point in the battle, she views it prudent to maintain the use of a single broadsword, and not unleash the treacherous trap that all Dao Swords inherently contain.

OOC: Brocky has forfeited the fight due to having too many counsellors already so Elixabeth will now be counsellor.
