Jared is a child of Hermes who is currently living in the Hermes cabin, he isn't dating anyone, at the moment, but he's straight and is currently seventeen years old.
Personality
Jared is an extremely brave, loyal, and selfless person who possesses tremendous strength of character. He would go to great lengths and take great risks in order to help others, particularly his loved ones. Jared was also very strong-willed and unafraid to stand up for himself.
History

Samantha Daniels works in her basement inventing things, but yet they all failed and for that she was made an outcast with everyone. One day at an expo and she was showing her(failed) experiments she met a man with grey eyes and brown hair and they had gotten into a conversation. Samantha was an eccentric woman and practically no one could keep up with her but yet the man did much to Samantha's surprise. Eventually Samantha got the nerve to ask him to her lab to see if he could help her with her current experiment and he agreed, and after that they continued to work on her experiments, the man giving her a few helpful tips here and there. A few weeks later a doorbell rang and she opened the door to find Jared on the doorstep with the man not in sight and with a note only saying to call him Jared. Jared always helped his mom with her experiments and was home schooled, and shared his mother’s love for inventing.

He grew up homeschooled barely leaving his home other than running errands for his mother, and by the time he was twelve he always encountered monsters which he only lived by the attacks because he just ran for his dear life. He barely had any friends and always low on money as no one really wanted what his father made. He grew up in New York and when he was a child he always was the one selling the newspapers on the corner to get some little cash he could scrape from the meagre selling’s he could get.

There was a corner shop where Jared use to sell the newspaers led my a young man around 25 named Christopher Alecs, the man was always running about the shop making sure everything is in order. The man told Jared that he was ADHD so that was he was always up and about. Anyway when he turned twelve, strange stuff started to happpen. He was attacked by monsters, some times he was wounded by the monsters as he had tried to run, most of the time they were hellhounds but some where homeless cyclopses. But most of the time they were killed by the man inside the shop, but always the man would say 'its not time' when Jared asked about the monsters and what they wanted from him.

five years later, after moving around towns since his mother who was always looking for jobs, Jared was at a temporary school when he got a new a janitor and for the next two months he got the sense that the Janitor was watching him and when his maths teacher turned out to be a monster, the janitor saved him and afterwards the janitor dragged him into a car and drove off explaining everything about the Gods. It took them a month to get to camp, as they were on the other side of the country and the satyr had spent all his money on food and shelter. Most of the time they were fending off the monsters and the rest, taking night shifts when the other was asleep, though the satyr took longer turns as Jared was under skilled, but Jared always managed to wake up the satyr when a monster did come, and together they managed to kill the monsters but barely.

They got to know each other well and the satyr taught Jared the basic fighting skills to fend off the monsters when they came, though Jared could never do it without the satyrs help, and in return Jared gave the satyr small machines that could help him with the reeds, by making the notes stronger and louder and more forceful. The satyr had run out of money beforehand so they couldn't use a plane, and he arrived at camp when he was sixteen.

  1. Children of Hermes are able to increase their speed and stealth in short bursts, making them faster than most and undetectable for a short time. However, they cannot have a weapon drawn so the speed is purely for evasion.

  1. Children of Hermes have innate reflexes which allows them to fight and dodge quickly.
  2. Children of Hermes are extremely proficient with thrown weapons.
  3. Children of Hermes are proficient in dodge-rolls.
  4. Children of Hermes have the inhuman ability to leap great distances at once which this can be used to dodge or attack.
  5. Children of Hermes possess enhanced stamina.
  6. Children of Hermes can sense and manipulate locks of all types. The more complicated the lock, the harder to manipulate.

  2. Children of Hermes can cause a person or a group of people to speak in different languages so that no one understands what each other is saying, the effects only last a short time.
  3. Children of Hermes are able to trick another into doing something for them or revealing a secret to them; nothing guarantees the person will complete the task, if they figure out they are being tricked.

The more powerful the stolen powers are and the more taken, the more energy is drained when the power theft wears off. (If the target doesn't have their 3/6/9 month powers, they cannot be stolen.)

  1. Children of Hermes can shift into a hawk for short periods of time granting them flight, the longer they retain this form, the more energy it drains and the more time they need to rest between transformations.
