Andrew: The newly returned son of Zeus stood alone at a park bench, opposite the strawberry fields and facing the frigid ocean. He used the bench to do dips, and was dressed rather poorly for the cold New York winter, wearing only basketball shorts and a tank top. Nonetheless, he looked perfectly comfortable and not at all freezing to death.
Polly: Polly, on the other hand, was freezing. Despite the rather normal temperatures for a New York winter, Polly hated the cold, and was used to Hawai'ian winters - Where it really didn't get that cold. She walked through the park wearing a sweat, a warm jacket, gloves, and a beanie. Andrew wasn't the only one who was surprisingly bare for the weather, but everyone she saw who was dressed normally, at least without a jakcet on, she looked at weirdly. When she stepped, next to Andrew's park bench, she watched him for a moment. "Are all New Yorkers this dumb?"
Andrew: Andrew responded without hesitation or a glance in her direction, "Kiss my ass, Princess." Andrew stands and faces her after finishing his final set. Once he makes eye contact with her, his normal blue eyes flashed a a reddish hue before returning to their normal shade, "Is insulting someone you've never met custom where you're from, or are you just an asshole?"
Polly: Her mouth went agape from a moment. "Do you always reply with hostility?" She questions. "All I meant is that it's deathly freezing and I don't understand how you can stand it," Polly adds with a scoff. Despite it only being 48 degrees, she found it insane. Instead of waiting for a reply, she pulled out a pair of earbuds and her phone.
Andrew: Andrew rolls his eyes and sits down on the bench next to her. He reaches down underneath the bench and returns to a sitting position with a bottle of water now in hand. After a breathy sigh, Andrew returns to his feet and begins stretching, during which he responds to Polly, "It's not even that cold out. If it were snowing I'd at the very least wear a sweater."
Polly: Polly, though a little irate with the new man from his previous response, holds out on blocking him out with music. "I grew up in a very tropical climate, so this..." She gestured around a little, probably in reference to the weather, "Is new to me."
Andrew: He chuckles, "Take off a couple layers and get used to it then, I can only imagine you're going to be here for a while, Kiddo."
Polly: She looks him over. "I enjoy being warm." Polly shrugs. "Besides, what makes you think I'm staying for an extended amount of time?"
Andrew: He opens his arms, motioning towards the entire camp, "Because everybody here is here for an extended period of time. That's what the Camp's for. I've spent the last two years out in the real world, and every couple of days there was a new threat. And it takes an extended length of time to be able to handle that threat."
Polly: "I don't want to stay," She answers. "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself - My brother too. The only reason we are here is because we were forced to be." Polly shrugs. "I guess it's my fault, though. But that doesn't mean I'm not leaving one day. Soon."
