Urban Arena

Urban arena
  • This arena is essentially a small abandoned city, overgrown with vegetation and some of the buildings crumbling in decay.
  • Located in the middle of the arena is a small abandoned park, with a pond
  • This arena has all the typical things you'd find in an abandoned overgrown city, everything from flat surfaces to small buildings to tall skyscrapers, some crumbling, some still standing, lots of dark places to hide, including an underground subway tunnel. There are abandoned cars, and things can still be found within the buildings, perhaps even a few stray cats or dogs, or some smaller creatures such as rats and spiders.
  • The arena is open to the sky and elements
  • This arena also possesses a more rural arena, possessing large mansions, estates and houses.

Zella enters the arena, she is equipped with chainmail armor, blue jeans and a black t-shirt underneath, and her pentra claws. Her small puppet (atm) is dangling off her side, ready for the button to be pressed making it larger. She looks around for her opponent before the start of the match

Colton Owen ~ Child of Pandia
ColtonOwen2

"Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star."
Colton enters the arena from a more secluded area of the arena, away from Zella's current location. A light breeze blows across the abandoned city causing the litter that scatters on the ground to be blown away. Today the moon is at it's waxing gibbous phase. The moonlight illuminating the arena easily penetrates through the thin layer of clouds in the sky. Colton is equipped with a light metal Celestial Bronze armor set to allow him to move swiftly and more tranquil and quiet while providing protection as well. On top of his armor is a pure black cloak (made of light, but not protective material) which covers what he is wearing underneath. His dual Celestial Bronze scimitars are strapped onto his side while his Bow and his quiver of arrows that have a variety of effects are strapped onto his back. He gets up upon a three story building and perches on the roof in an angle that makes him unspottable from ground view. He scans the proximity from the roof of the building to get more familiar with the location. The central point that marks the middle of the city is a park. Surrounding it is the residential area with many apartments both crumbling and somewhat sturdy. Directly across the street to the park is a plaza with a variety of small stores. Across from where he currently perches is a four story shopping mall. A few meters east is the entrance to a subway station along with a sign that reads: "Next Subway Station: 7 Blocks". He grabs a hold of bow and attempts to pinpoint Zella's current location.

Character's Powers

Powers of a child of Pandia (3/6/9 Month Powers reached):

Offensive

  1. Children of Pandia have the ability to form weapons out of pure moonlight which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it cannot be bigger than the one who conjured it. Non-combative objects can also be made out of this, but cannot generate any electricity as moonlight does not have any working parts.
  2. Children of Pandia have the ability to focus an intense beam of moonlight which will burn anything it touches.

Defensive

  1. Children of Pandia have the ability to create a protective dome of pure solid moonlight which will defend them from attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Pandia have the ability to bend the moonlight around them, concealing them for a short time. If the child attacks while in this state, it automatically wears off. So the power is purely defensive.

Passive

  1. Children of Pandia can see perfectly at night as if it were day.
  2. Children of Pandia are innately stronger at night.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Pandia have the ability to generate moonlight to shine so bright that it can blind the beholders for a short period of time or just light up areas for allies, depending on how bright it is. They can create sources of moonlight from a distance and command them to maintain it’s form for a moderate time, but the light cannot be bright enough to harm anyone’s eyes to exist that long.
  2. Children of Pandia have the ability to use the gravity pull of the moon to slow down enemies giving them a high chance to avoid an opponent’s attack or prevent an opponent from avoiding one of the user’s attacks.
  3. Children of Pandia are able to telekinetically move water at a high rate, since the moon has power over the tides. The larger amount of water used, the more energy it drains.
  4. Children of Pandia have the ability to Moonlight Travel, to merge with natural moonlight or moonlight they created themselves and teleport to another source of moonlight. The further the distance traveled, the more energy is drained.
  5. As their mother was the goddess of the nourishing dew, children of Pandia have the ability to force the temperature within a 15 meter radius of them to reach dew point, condensing all the atmospheric water vapour into water droplets and drenching those in the vicinity. The user is immune to the attack, but their allies are endangered.

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Pandia receive an enhancement in their powers over gravity. They can enchant themselves, others and nearby objects to become detached from gravity for a short time. People who aren’t willingly freed from gravity can only float a few feet into the air, while the user and their allies can completely fly at their own will. Items under the enchantment can also be crushed by intensifying gravity’s hold on them. They cannot use this to perform overwhelming feats such as crushing buildings.

6 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Pandia can turn their moonlight into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence; however, only up to 4 combative/non-combative items or 1 semi-living construct can be conjured at a time and it cannot be larger than roughly 3 times the size of the one that conjured it. Tools may be telekinetically moved by the user’s mind. The longer they maintain combative/non combative items and semi-living constructs, the more it drains their energy, so they are more limited for the time they can keep these things cohesive.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Pandia have the ability to shed their flesh into pure moonlight, granting them the ability to fly and everything they touch intensely burns. Their existing lunarkinetic abilities are stronger in this state. The longer they maintain this form, the more energy it drains. When they revert back to their original form, they are drained greatly and cannot even move or could even faint from exhaustion.

Traits

  1. Children of Pandia are typically more active during night time especially when the moon is full. Also being in better moods at night and disliking the day.
  2. Children of Pandia often grow up to make great astrologists and enjoy studying constellations.
  3. Children of Pandia have been known to take interest in ayurvedic practices due to its association with astrology.
  4. Children of Pandia nearly always have innate knowledge on the phases of the moon. Ex: They'd be able to tell if the following night will have a full moon and when a new moon will begin.

Zella: Looking around, Zella wanders into an old shoping mall. She has no idea were Colton was... somewhere on the thrid floor now, Zella gets an idea. She doesn't want to walk out into the streets exposed, so she grabs a bundle of clothing from an old Hot Topic store...

Colton: The building Colton is on gives a perfect view on the shopping mall just across the street. Along with his ability to see perfectly at night, he spots Zella proceed through the entrance of the shopping mall. With his sight now looking at the shattered windows on each floor, he rides on the natural moonlight created by the moon. He takes out four explosive tip arrows from his quiver as he looms closer to the shopping mall. Holding his bow he shoots one explosive tip arrow at each floor and uses the gravity push and pull of the moon to correct the course of the projectile so that each one passes through a shattered window. As he's unsure of the the floor that Zella's currently on, he hopes that the explosive tip arrows may cause a minor explosion that may causes small chunks of the wall and floor of the weak structure to crumble and distract Zella, perhaps even falling onto her causing minor injuries. He passes through an open window on the forth floor and lands on his feet as he looks around.

Zella:Zella doesn't see the arrow fly into the building, but the explosion occured about 10 feet from her, after sheilding her eyes from the dust, the floor begins crumbeling out from the explosion. Quickly she runs away, realizing the cieling above her on the 4th floor is also crumbling, she leaves behind the puppet, which is now full size, and wearing clothing behind, letting it get partially buried. She dives into a small Famous Footware store to avoid the rumble, but gets pelted by a few small rocks along the way, leaving bruises. She turns her two rings into pentra claws, and waits, peeking out into the dark mall. It's now a bit easier to see as there is more light entering the room.

Colton: The explosion on the forth floor caused instability of the ceiling causing a chunk on it fall in front of Colton, shattering into small rocks. He blocks the rocks that fly towards his face with his left arm, causing minor scratches. But he is now confident that no one's present on this floor. The only method of going to the lower floors is the escalator that no longer runs due to lack of electricity. The obsolete elevators are also un-usable without power. Peering down the escalator, he spots shattered shards of a mirror from a clothing store lying outside of it. He bends the moonlight around him and conceals himself as he runs down the escalator and leaps off of it at the suitable step. As a offensive precaution, in midair he shoots three short beams of intense moonlight which reflects off of the few mirror shards in various directions, melting the mirror in the process.

Zella: Zella is about three stores down from the escalators, and sees a bright beam shoot out from around the escalators... The sudden brightness hurt Zella's eyes, and she ducks back behind the wall, she then begins to fill the floor with smoke, attempting to prevent the moonlight from getting in and concealing Colton, and possibly weakening him.

Colton: Colton coughs as the smoke begins to fill from the Famous Footwear store into the main area, causing him to breathe some in of it. He covers his nose and mouth with his cloak to reduce further breathing of the smoke. The smoke stings his eyes slightly causing them to become slightly watery. He is now no long concealed and is visible to Zella if the smoke screen would not have probably blocked her vision of him as well. Lasting for a short period of time, the smoke screen begins to rise up and slowly dissipate. Seeing that the origin of smoke came from the Famous Footwear store, he takes an explosive tip arrow and shoots through the entrance of the store at an angle so that it may hit a wall or the ceiling. He hopes that the explosion will shatter parts of the wall and cause her to retreat out of the store having to pass through the smoke she created. At his angle looking into the store, he also spots what seems to be Zella's leg, as he takes an arrow and shoots it her her leg. He hopes that the explosion acts as a distraction and the arrows will hit her leg handicapping her movement slightly.

Zella:She spotted Colton's feet at about the same time he saw hers, quickly she tried to stand up, but suddenly an arrow shot across the chainmail on her calf, it still left a cut, stopping her as she winces. Suddenly a loose part of the ceilign ruptures, and Zella flings herself out of the way, further into the store. She lands with a thud, and then she fell motionless... Controlling her puppet which was partially buried just outside the store, the puppet burst out of the rubble and swung at Colton as the rest of the smoke faded away.

Colton: The puppet having swung its arm at Colton, knocks him back upon impact with its metal arm. He crashes into a wall, having used the gravity push to somewhat lessen the impact against the wall. The impact knocks the wind out of him as he becomes dazed for a second before taking out one of his scimitar and attempting to slash the puppet's arm. Using the impact force of slashing against the metal body of the puppet, he launches himself back hopefully away from the robot's retaliation. During the launch he focuses an intense moonlight beam and shoots upon landing. His true intention of that is so that it may perhaps burn the arm of the puppet's body rendering one of them less effective for short duration. He has one of his hands over his left shoulder and upper back which is still in a bit of pain from the impact.

Zella:The arm heats up, and expands, making the joint in the arm loose, therefor making impacts with it less effective, as it would have more give, although now the heat would burn at the touch. The puppet, tries to charge Colton, attempting to tackle him into the wall.

Colton: Seeing the puppet charge and tackle at him, Colton attempts to roll to the side (towards the the store Zella's in) perhaps causing the puppet to perhaps tackle into the wall. He manages to roll aside from the tackle but a small part of the heated arm skims his shoulder slightly burning it. He winces, as he uses his right hand to take out three more explosive tip arrows, shooting them at the ground nearby the puppet. The arrows lands on the ground beneath the puppet but seemingly malfunctions and did not trigger an explosion. Leaving him with no choice, Colton tumbles forward towards the store Zella is in, taking three arrows and shoot them towards her unconscious body that lies further into the store. Knowing that there should be no way for the puppet to block the projectile in time, so he hopes that the arrows will force Zella to break control of the puppet and try to dodge it or else risk taking direct hits from the arrows.

Zella:The puppet bashes itself into the wall, nearly breaking all the way through it. Zella quickly relinquishes control of the puppet, and jolts awake, as Colton releases his arrows. Zella quickly pulls up the rubble around her into a stone wall, just tall enough to block the arrows. She then leaps off of the wall, heating up her pentra claws, and attempting to slash at Colton.

Colton: He notices that the wall the puppet had broke through is thinner wall that separates the main part of the mall and a store. The puppet now lies dormant beside the two explosive arrows. The explosive arrows had slid near the wall after what was thought to be a failed explosion. The truth was that he purposely did not pull the shaft of the arrow slightly up (which was a safety precaution) to activate the explosives. Colton conjures a sold replica of the moon to which will probably blunt Zella's attempt to slash him with her pentra claws. He quickly turns around and shoots an intense moonlight beam towards the un-exploded explosive tip arrows that lies beside the puppet. The intense heat will most likely trigger a chain explosion with the arrows. He hopes that the explosion will damage the puppet so that it will not be as effective as its original state.

Zella: Zella's Pentra Claws hit the miniture moon, and take out a chunk, stopping her attack. Zella runs around the moon, and trys to once again slash at Colton, going for the back of his legs. Meanwhile, the arrows near the puppet explode, and the floor caves in underneath it, casusing the puppet to fall with a pile of rubble. The heated arm begins cooling off, but the shoulder is dented in by a boulder. The arm is now imobile, and locked in a partially outreached postition. The puppet is now on buried on the 2nd floor.

Colton: Colton turns around to retaliate but winces as the pentra claw leaves a gash on his left leg. However, his right leg is unscathed due to his turn. He counters with a leg sweep (using his un-scathed leg) targeted at Zella's calf that his previous arrow had left a cut on. He hopes that the swift leg sweep will cause Zella to fall or tumble towards the ground. He also takes his scimitar out to perhaps land a upward or downward (whichever seems suitable in the situation) diagonal slash on Zella if she did indeed tumble or fall from the leg sweep. He drops down to one of his knees using his un-injured leg to support himself. Small trickles of blood drip from the wound on his left leg, where the pentra claw had left the gash. He slowly gets back on his feet.

Zella:Zella's legs get sweeped, but in her bent over position from reaching down for his legs causes her to fall back on her butt in a sitting position, Zella saw the blade coming down towards her, and she raises her pentra claws up, catching it in between the "claws", the blade slipping againts the top of her hand slightly cutting her between her middle and index fingers. To save a bit of time, Zella rolls sideways, away from Colton, and pushes herself up in a quick motion, standing now about 4 feet from Colton, left hand positioned just under chest length with the claws covering her chest, and right hand between chest and jaw postion, in a more defensive stance. She beguins heating up her pentra claws, making them a bit more painful to get slashed by, but not enough to really burn skin.
