recently, some confusion has arisen due to no codified adoption policies, soI figured I'd write one.

Adoption Policy[]
A character may be put up for adoption at any time. To do so, simply go to the claiming page and edit their name into the list, add the Category:Up For Adoption tag to their page, and leave a message on the talk page of someone in the Administration dept so that it can be noted. Please do not roleplay them anymore after this point. If they hold any titles, they will be stripped of the position once they are adopted. You may put one character up for adoption every two weeks.
Camp Half-Blood[]
If they are a counsellor, the lieutenant will take over the counsellor spot, and the first person to add their character's name in the lieutenant place will be the new lieutenant. If the character is a lieutenant, then the first person to add their character to the spot will receive the position.
Broken Covenant[]
As for the Broken Covenant, if they are a second in command, then the commander will choose a new second, and if they are the commander, the second will take the place and appoint a new second.
Sins of the Father[]
If they are a Commander, then the captains will fight for the position. If it is a captain, then it will be the standard promotion procedure in a forum, but instead they fight against the commander.
Adopting[]
On the other end, when you are adopting a character you need to notify a member of the administration team, remove the adoption category, remove them from the adoption list, and modify the page to make it your own. You can only adopt a character once every two weeks.

I'm a little confused by the Camp adoption.Theflammablesection 00:49, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Well it should probably also mention adding the adoption tag to the page, and how that it should not be role played while it is up for adoption, as that is what keeps it from counting as a character anymore, for character slots. Also we need something about someone in my department being notified about such changes, not that they need permission, but so we can keep track of who's who and where.--BachLynn(Send an Owl!) 00:58, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
It has occurred to me that there is nothing on the topic of adopting, rather, the entire policy consists of how to put them up for adoption, and the consequences of such an action. Swordcross -|===> 01:19, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
Good call sword, like you shouldn't be able to just throw up a character for adoption every few days so you can make a new character every few days or every week.--BachLynn(Send an Owl!) 13:21, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
Updated with respect to those concerns. Kingbirdy 04:31, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe we need to put that someone couldn't just put a character he has for adption just so he can make another one every week (if the slot's full). Queen.Bee(hello!) 08:11, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
