As the wiki transcends into this new era, users have revealed their discontent for the current power-sets that are available on the wiki. Some think that they are overpowered while others think that some are not powerful enough. There have also been complaints the power-sets are too similar and don’t reflect the diversity of the 48 cabin gods. I wish to try and fix this problem using the majority's choice of one of the three routes listed below.
1: We simply revert all powers to where they were before the rewrite. This option would take the least time, however problems with balancing will remain, and some of the work on cabins such as Nike was fairly good.
2: We do another mass rewrite. I would work with members of Research and Development to look through the powers as a whole and see if we could gradually fix them all during the summer. This would take a lot of time and effort, but if done right, should be a decent course of action. If possible, I would also like to ask the general wiki population what they would like to add or remove, instead of just “fixing” it.
3: Bach and I were thinking of doing a rewrite to end all rewrites. In this option, broad power-sets would be listed on the cabins (eg: ‘charmspeak’) and there would be a link to an encyclopedia of powers. If a user had a new idea for a rewrite, all they would have to do is add the power (if it was approved) to the cabin list and write up a page for it. In instances where RP is judged like fights or contests, entrants would pick a certain number of powers, almost like a menu to ensure that contests remain balanced. However, if the wiki pulled it off, we would essentially never have to do another rewrite, and users would be given much more choice.
Please, feel free to discuss below. If desired, I can probably write up an example of each option so you can see what each would look like.

- This is the most logical, I disagree with the third option, and the first option is asinine after how much "work" was put into the powersets already. Slay ~ Avin (talk) 00:04,3/31/2015 [[Special:EditCount/Avingnon|Special:EditCount/Avingnon]]

Ash's Opinion:
While the third option does involve a lot of work on the part of the wiki, I truly feel that by taking such an endeavour we create a system that is flexible, easy to manage, and incorporates the opinions of the wiki at large. By allowing a wide range of interesting powers to be added to harmless regular roleplay we expand the interest that it can give to the user. As is currently set up and used to be set up, the power sets were geared more towards roleplays that involved physical conflict a type of roleplay that is engaged by around 2 percent of the active population on estimate. By introducing new powers, we give the power sets a degree of relevance to the common user. In addition, I see this being an endeavour of the users as opposed to the Activities and Development (soon to be known as Research and Development) department. By making this a project open to all users to participate, we open any possible powerset to a wide range of criticisms and opinions that will ensure a well polished product that will more than likely not need to be completely overhauled but instead periodically updated. I believe that, at Brocky's discretion, AD (known as R & D) will be able to support users in this project by providing insight and guidance where necessary but will act as advisers to the larger body of users. For the reasons stated above I feel that option three is the one that will ensure a long term solution to this issue.

Probably all power sets, though the non-demigods would still have to have less powers in general than the demigods, because the reason they are considered minor characters is because they are also considered less powerful than demigods (once upon a time there was a huge debate about that, and it came down to either the wiki could have non-demigods be considerably less powerful and count as minor/unlimited char spots, OR all characters could have even spread power sets, demigod, non-demigod alike, BUT all characters would then be factored in to a character limit (though maybe higher than the current one) and the wiki opted to keep non-demigod chars less powerful *ends babbling*
