The ship swayed in the dark that night, it carried one man. One man who took it all on, perhaps it was how he stood at the prow with no regard for the diminishing sun. Yet maybe it was the speed at which the man plowed through the dark depths. Yet could it have been none of that which drew Nyx to Braeden's vessel.
The shadows that were Nyx, rolled onto the boat, yet Braedon saw through this, the mist, and saw not darkness, but Nyx in her shroud of shadows, floating onto the deck. Braedon set the boat to follow a simple course, and let Nyx offer herself for dirty pleasure.
Braedon remembered the goodbye kiss. It made him remember his sister, who on her way to a place called camp, was slaughtered by a giant. Yet this caused no affect to his mind, and his stolen vessel continued, unknowingly coursed for a superstitious feudal area of Japan.
The baby arrived when Braedon reached the shores of a tiny isle off the coast of Japan. The date was February 11th, 1994, the day the baby arrived.... Being white he was superstitiously welcomed as a god. Coincidentally, there was a prophecy on the isle, that a white god would appear with a son. The son would be trained as a warrior, and when that boy reached his eleventh year, a scorpion lion would kill the white god, leaving the son a dark, heartless, murderous machination of life.
The prophecy was true, for Braedon died when his son turned Eleven. Yet before that, Braedon gave up his son to one of the young girls of the village. Braedon realized that he would not be able to raise his newborn son and make a living for himself. The young girl, Ashanae, raised the boy as if he were her own. She named him Zaken, she taught the boy in her own parents cottage. She received a letter from Braedon when Zaken was seven...
Please, send my son to the Dueling Samaria Warrior Master in the mountains. I wish for him to be trained to use the weapon that I have been protecting for years now. When he is of age, show him this note, and tell him that he will once again need to see the Warrior Master
~ Braedon Duaeldro
Zaken was sent to the Warrior Master in the mountain of the isle. There he stayed for four years, and for those four years he trained in the way of the Katana. Zaken learned to make armor and the Warrior Master was also a son of Nyx, and so Zaken was trained to use his mother's powers. On the fourth moon after Zaken's eleventh birthday, he was allowed to go and see his mother. During Zaken's visit with his mother, he was taken to see his father...
Zaken was not able to see his father, as a Chimera had slain his father... Zaken's mother cried, yet she took the time to walk Zaken through the house. Zaken ran out of the house, on his way towards the mountain the chimera attacked Zaken. The Chimera backed up against a large boulder, and it looked like Zaken would not be able to get away from the beast. Yet the Warrior Master shadow travelled from the top of the mountain to the air behind the beast, slashed the Chimera's tail off. The Chimera roared in pain with its tail removed, yet it reared up onto its hind legs. This only made the next attack less planned, for as soon as the Master had struck the beast the first time, he was shadow traveling again. Since the beast had reared up the Master's sword went through the Chimera's face and into it's body, as the master came out of his shadow traveling inside the boulder's shadow. The Master landed on his feet, his blade was quickly released as the Chimera's body turned to dust...
The Warrior Master took Zaken with him back to the top of the mountain, yet the master walked slowly as he was tired by his shadow traveling from the mountain... A distance of three miles... Once Zaken and the Master reached the top of the mountain, the boy was inside of a magically charmed area, that kept monsters of all kinds from attacking the area. Once every twelve moons, the Master had to offer the blood of a shark to the charm to keep its magical barrier working.
Zaken trained for the next seven years, and only a month away from his eighteenth birthday, and the renewal time of the magical barrier, he received the katana that his father wanted him to have. The katana was magically imbued to leave a solid trail of ash in the direction the blade was swung, which could be willed on and off, via the wielder's mind. The length of the katana could also be changed at will, however, the blade was in its natural state at a length of four and a half feet long.
Upon the week that the barrier was to be renewed, the master fell horribly sick in his old age, and he was killed by another Chimera... The barrier had failed to be replaced and the Chimera was able to get in. Zakeb killed the beast and he then took the journal from the Warrior Master's room, which had money in it, as well as a map to camp half blood.
Zaken made the journey to nearby Japan, then to an airport and finally to New York, as he was currently on the move, he didn't run into any monsters until he got outside of the entrance to camp... It was twelve at night, and a hellhound the size of a motorcycle was outside the gate. Zaken immediately saw the beast, and as it lunged out at Zaken, he drew his katana upwards as he unsheathed it, cutting the Hellhound in half. The two pieces of the hellhound fell to the ground and dust poured away from them as the wind began to blow easily through the trees.
Zaken looked into the camp through the entrance... It was dull and lifeless... So Zaken walked away from the camp, he was found by the BC and was accepted into a less hateful portion of the factions. Zaken helped to steal enchanted artifacts, abuse and torture humans to make them worship the other BC members. Yet all these things made Zaken realize that there was a problem with the BC, yet he had never really joined the BC to begin with. It was a way to keep himself from being overpowered by monsters... His life went on like this for the next year and eleven months of his life.
On one outing with the members of the BC, Zaken was told he needed to kill a group of demigods to join the BC permanently. Zaken and the BC members surrounded the Camp Questers, but left Zaken to kill all of the campers... Zaken drew his blade to kill the first Camp Questor, but instead swung his blade behind himself, decapitating the head of the mission leader. The other BC members drew their weapons, and the campers attacked the BC members, hoping that Zaken was truly on their side. Zaken finished killing the rest of the BC members, and the campers acquitted their quest and took Zaken with them to the camp.
Zaken arrived at camp, but was not claimed right away... He found his cabin, but did not put anything on his cot. He slept there for a few days, and one of the Camp Questers took him to the Food Hall. There, Zaken Duealdro offered food to his mother Nyx, and was finally accepted into the camp by the rest of the campers.
